We had an issue with some low level vandalism and so I bought one of these. I must confess to being mildly sceptical about how good it would be for the price, however it is truly excellent.The free phone app is easy to download and then set up takes ten minutes, another fifteen minutes with drill and rawplugs finds it fitted to the outside of my house.Image quality is excellent, capturing still frames or video is easy as is setting up the video from sensor application.Yes the sensor is very sensitive even on the low setting but rather that than the other way around!I have shown the images to colleagues at work, one has already replaced his existing camera with one of these and two others are seriously considering purchasing one.

COOAU outdoor camera. I bought this camera after my house was vandalised, and footage on some neighbors cameras didn’t really pick much up to use for the police. I wanted something quick to fit without mess and without paying anyone and after the good reviews I chose this one. Easy to install to my iPhone, I wasn’t ever going to have it connected to the router I wanted it wireless and this works excellent I’ve put it at the bottom of my drive fitted a 64gb card in it and it records everything,roughly a weeks worth on that size card the motion sensor is very sensitive so will notify you alot to your phone (I switch the notifications off on a night now and would just watch the recording if anything had happened in the night)where you can either view live to your camera record then what’s happening or photo it and send it or with a sd card fitted view in time frames all the hours of the day, once full the card starts re recording over from the beginning, but everything can be operated by your phone so you could stop recording manually if you knew your house was broken into and didn’t want it recording over if you were away for an extended time or fit a 128gb card. picture quality is excellent and so is the nighttime picture you can zoom in by expanding your screen for a close up, for the money this is brilliant I’m getting another for the garden as you can add cameras. My son has put the app on his phone so can do everything that I can.

Buyer beware - Camera functionality isn't consistent between cameras based on firmware version, which cannot always be upgraded. As confirmed by Cooau support. Buyers should check the camera functionality and firmware version on delivery.-------------------------------------------I brought five of these cameras to help secure a property and was initially very impressed. Both the 720p and the 1080p had great picture quality, under normal daylight and with IR, and great functionality. After testing both, I opted to purchase a further three 1080p camera.Unfortunately, while the three cameras that arrived looked identical they were an older model and running an older version of the firmare, which greatly limits the configuration of the motion detection. Newer versions of the firmare allow you to set detection zones as well as the detection sensitivity. Older versions of the firmare only allow you to set the latter.For an ourdoor camera this simply isn't enough. You need the ability to watch a specific area and ignore areas of high change, such as branches moving in the wind, and roads.I've emailed COOAU asking for guidance on updating firmware and download locations, with limited success. An initial response suggested only certain firmware versions could be upgraded and since then have recieved no further responses. I can only concluded that the second batch of cameras cannot be upgraded (I've since had this confirmed by Cooau support).While these are great IP Cameras and good value for money, I would advise anyone purchasing them to check each camera on delivery with the CamHi phone app. If the firmware issue does get resolved i'll gladly update my review and rating, but at things stands missing the functionalty described above renders these cameras near useless for my needs.

I bought this camera as crime rate has been going up in the area so I thought this would be a good idea, and it sure is, the App works perfectly and was so easy to set up, the quality is great as I got the 1080p version, one reason I purchased this one is because is supports Micro SD card (up to 128GB) to save recordings to, and I can view them from the app to, you can either have it wired or wireless, I have mine wires using an powerline adapter which is working fine, overall this IP camera is perfect and does the job very well and I am thinking about getting another one at some point.

The camera is very well built and feels solid enough to work as an outdoors camera. I was contemplating between the 720p and 1080p camera and finally settled for the 720p camera. I was not disappointed. It was very easy to set up and the instruction manual has clear instructions. The quality of this camera is amazing - clear enough to see faces and read number plates. I have it setup 20 feet away from the area i want to monitor and the IR illumination lights up the area very well. In my opinion, the best thing about this camera is that the power cable that comes with this is very long and very thin. This helped me install the camera on an outside wall and bring the cable in through the window. Because the cable is so thin, there is no draft that comes in through the window. So managed to install this with no need to drill holes through my outside wall!

I was a little concerned by some reviews of the camera and the app. Totally unjustified. Excellent in both ways. Set up in about 15 minutes and the quality day and night is very good. Good follow up from the supplier and I am confident they will provide first class support should I require it. I am only average technically but had no problems . Instructions very clear. I would recommend this product.
