Catherine LansfieldDenim Reversible Double Duvet Cover Set with Pillowcases Grey

Have had real denim duvet covers in the past and was sold by the product shot. Looked really nice. Was surprised by the price, but thought I'd just been lucky. So much so, that I ordered 2. As soon as I opened the packaging I thought 'That's not denim'. It wasn't until I opened it up that I realised that it was just a print, and not a very good one at that. It's as though the designer asked the factory to make it out of denim, but they didn't have any, so they downloaded some clipart of some denim illustrated by a 9 year old and printed it on an old table cloth. I imagine when the designer checked in on them via skype through a really dodgy connection, they lifted up the print and said 'How does this look?' and the designer thought 'Well it looks like denim from here!' and gave them the go-ahead. Unfortunately, the designer had paid for it all up front, convinced it was going to be the hit of the season. When it arrived at the office, they opened up the first sample and realised what a horrible mistake they'd made. By then it was too late, they'd already booked their space on amazon. All they could do was knock it out at cost and hope nobody had ever seen or felt denim ever. I've never heard of Catherin Lansfield, but I have a feeling she's not long for the fashion business... Not recommended.

Not happy received yesterday 20/2/19. And the seams are apart. I can’t afford to send back hoping for a replacement to be sent please

Worst case of buyers remorse I’ve had in a long time. Quite literally lasted less than 30 minutes On the bed before we had to get up and change the bed clothes to another duvet cover.Horrible cheap nylon type material, feels rough and scratchy on the skin and in this warm weather it’s really uncomfortable.It also looks really cheap and the printed finish doesn’t look anything like as good as the photos would suggest.Really not impressed.

Nice colour duvet cover. In reality the quality feels and is very very thin and has a cheap feel to it. Luckily bought for son to take to university. If I had bought this item for his bed at home I would not have used it. Disappointed with the quality of this product. Described as denim duvet cover, therefore expected the material to be of a sturdier quality.

As soon as it arrived, I put it in the washing machine. I confess I didn't inspect it - I was in a hurry to get my son's new double bed made up. When I took it out to tumble dry, I noticed one of the pillow cases had a hole in the seam (about 10-12cm long) where the material hadn't been sewn together properly. The edge that had missed the stitching was badly frayed.I assume I can't return it as I've already washed it, so I"ll probably end up sewing the pillowcase together myself.The actual fabric is very thin - if you hold it near the light, you can see through the two layers of fabric on the duvet, for example - and feels rough to the touch. Washing it has not softened it. It also doesn't iron easily. Creases stay stubbornly there.However, I do like the design, so - although I ran out this afternoon and bought a better quality set at Asda(!) - I'll keep this set as a spare. If another seam comes away though, it's going to end up being used as a dust sheet by my decorator.Very disappointed with the Catherine Lansfield brand.

You get what you pay for it looks like crap

This is a case of you get what you pay for! On the second time it was washed the seam on one of the pillow cases frayed and split about four inches. It has been overlocked so close to the salvage edge that it has just come apart. It is cheap, but if it can only be washed twice, that makes it very expensive!

I'd read the reviews of this product before I'd ordered it and wished I had listened to them. The material is very thin and as usual I washed it before using it. After this very first wash I can see that the seams are not great and are starting to give already. I don't think it will last long at it.
