Absolutely Brilliant for Two Listeners!
We have been looking for a way to listen to TV audio via Bluetooth for quite a while, up until now almost every transmitter only sent a signal to one pair of headphones and the ones that worked with two had a terrible audio lag which would be frustrating when watching a movie. We bought this transmitter during the Black Friday sales and we are extremely happy that we did! It works perfectly with two pairs of headphones, crystal clear sound and absolutely no lag whatsoever. It's also tiny, so would be very easy to bring when visiting a hotel, going on a train, etc. and it's rechargable. It can also be used while charging, which is a huge bonus as if you are using it while also using something like an Xbox One then the consoles USB ports can power it while you use it.It can connect to an audio device via 3.5mm headphone jack, optical audio or RCA and there is no difference in audio quality, they all sound the exact same. The box can also be used as a receiver, however we have not used this function so I cannot comment on it.Overall I give this product 5 stars, it is fast to charge, compact and portable while delivering fantastic lag free audio to two headphones and all for a very affordable price. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering one!Just a word of warning for anyone looking to buy this to connect two pairs of headphones at once, make sure your headphones are both using the same standard of Bluetooth! We were able to pair headphones using Bluetooth 2.0 and 2.1 and use them, and we were able to pair two pairs of Skullcandy Hesh 2's which were using Bluetooth 4.0. However, when we paired one of the 2.0 or 2.1 headphones with the 4.0 we were unable to get sound from both headphones at the same time.

Small, powerful and easy.
I was very dubious about buying an adapter to add a music streaming facility to my 10-year old Marantz amplifier. I simply wanted to hear music through my very good speakers instead of small in-ear headphones. I doubted that it would work but I took a chance and bought this unit. It is very small and took about half an hour to charge up via the USB connection on my PC. I then followed the instructions and installed the white and red cables into the tuner ports on the back of the amplifier. Connection to the device via Bluetooth to my iPhone was simple and the first piece of music nearly took the wax out of my ears. I found it hard to believe that such a small device could transmit such a high quality and powerful signal via the old amplifier to the speakers. I have tried to compare the sound quality to that of the same music via CD but I have failed to hear any difference. So, I can thoroughly recommend this little unit. It appears to be very well made and the sound quality is superb. I have given it 5-stars because of this and I would seriously consider buying another if I needed one.

Has S/PDIF - Does the job well!
There is a growing problem with fake reviews on websites which has really put me off writing reviews but every so often, a product merits mention, 5-star or otherwise.I needed to be able to use my Bluetooth headphones with the tv, especially for late night viewing or when speech is a bit mumbled.I was keen to have a Bluetooth transmitter that did not require plugging and unplugging and this one fit the bill in thata) I could leave it plugged into the tv’s USB port for charging so no need for additional chargers or cables running all the way to the mainsb) it has Optical interface meaning I could leave it plugged in whether I was using my phones or not. The headphone jack interface would require disconnecting before I can use the normal audio systemI received an email from TaoTronics soon after purchase with instructions on how to set it all up but the product did come with a small manual anyway.I charged up the unit, connected the usb and optical interfaces, switched off all Bluetooth devices that had established pairing with my headphones already, followed instructions and successfully paired my Sony MDR-1000X (awesome!) headphones. No sound initially but I realised I needed to get into the tv’s audio settings and set those up as well. Once it was all working, I connected an optical splitter so the signal from my TV was now being routed to this Bluetooth transmitter and to the audio system it was originally connected to. This required changing audio settings on my TV back. I was then able to tuck the transmitter out of sight behind the TV with just enough room for me to be able to press the power button - and this is important because reconnecting requires pressing the transmitter power button twice when the unit is on.All in all a worthwhile purchase that’s made it possible for me to use my Bluetooth headphones without plugging and unplugging the transmitter.I do not use my headphones that frequently with the tv so have scored the transmitter 5-star in that it meets my needs and is a huge improvement on one I had owned previously which plugged into the headphone socket on the tv. I expect power users may score 4-stars and I would not argue against that but 3 or less would be rather harsh.Indeed, I subsequently purchased a second unit for our second TV.
