(I have never used it for cold liquids.) The key is to properly prime the thermos with boiling/ hot water and wait 10 minutes before emptying and immediately refilling with your beverage of choice. Also, leave very little head space when finally filling with hot liquid. These steps take a bit more time, but the results are worth the effort. By doing this, the flask performance will meet the stated time the literature claims the contents will remain hot. It is easy to use and clean. It feels substantial, durable, and is holding up to daily use.
