Great for spraying inside silicone moulds to release resin

I searched for and found this on Amazon on the recommendation of a man who came to fix our internal shutters when they became stiff and difficult to open and close. He recommended regular application and it certainly works. We've also used it on countless other things as it is safe to use in the kitchen, dries instantly without an oily residue and makes surfaces that rub together smooth and easy. For example, we used it on our sliding greenhouse door which no longer judders as you slide it, and the shed padlock now works smoothly without the need for messy oiling after bad weather. I find I use it for more and more things all the time. We've been using it for at least two months now and the can is still almost full.

Used on uPVC window latches, hinges and rubber seals and locks Did the job and freed everything up so things work smoothly, jammed windows tend to be forced open by folk and end up breaking so this is a good preventative and makes things easy to use. My tilt and turn windows now do that smoothly and easily. A 4 star as my tin of silicone sprayed in a wide spray stream rather than a directed jet, which was a bit annoying when I was trying to target hinges, but that might well have been just the nozzle on this particular can.Fast despatch and delivery, good value product. I bought this product to clean and protect my upvc windows. It certainly does that! My windows are quite old, 10+ years, and the gaskets were going hard and becoming misplaced. A spray of silicone allowed me to stretch them to fit again and restore some flexibility. The gaskets in my windows are now doing their job effectively again. Cleaning the outside upvc means that the windows look clean and the rain slides off very well keeping my windows protected. I would add that I was advised to use silicone spray by a window manufacturer and told to use it on BROWN windows only. I have used the silicone on other surfaces too.

I'm now a silicone spray addict, I'm trying to give it up but it's one of those things. Kept getting woken up when people slammed the front door hard to shut it, sprayed with silicone - instantly worked and you can now click the door shut. Key was stiff to use, spray - now very easy. I've sprayed everything that didn't move or creaked now it moves smoothly and quietly. Much better than oil. I chose this make because it actually says food safe on the tin, which is good for my industrial unit and food use equipment, keeps the HSE and me happy.

Found this on Amazon and thought I would try the product, I use this all around the house as it has hardly any smell and what smell there is soon vanishes, I have used this on door hinges and windows inside and out, use this on the car door hinges and locks as well, it is a very good product and would recommend it, it puts a layer of silicon on the item you spray so it does not evaporate like normal spray oils, and you don't get that build-up of dirty oil that you get with liquid oils that have to be cleaned out every so often 5 STARS

Spray itself is very useful, but it desperately needs a spray straw to make application more controlled.I used the spray on a number of applications, including the 'plastic in metal runners' on my uPVC windows and patio doors. Because of the problem with the spray being too wide, I sprayed directly into a cloth (at close quarters to avoid wastage), then wiped the mechanisms with the moist cloth. The spray (a solvent plus silicone oil) cleaned the mechanism then left a very fine film for the runners to slide upon - very smooth window mechanisms now.Be careful when using the spray because it contains both a solvent (naptha/petroleum) to suspend the silicone oil, plus butane as a propellent (instead of CO2)....a very flammable mixture.
