Review: Good Product - I do not understand the negative comments that I see about this item. Granted these are not the cheapest and they do indeed add a fixed monthly cost to shaving but when used the razor comes out fresh and clean daily. When purchasing a razor with a cleaning system (which you pay extra for) it is good make full use of it. I previously owned a Braun equivalent and the cartridges are entirely different. The Braun system works out cheaper per month but the Panasonic system does a much better job as the Panasonic system cleans and dries the razor whereas the Braun cleaning unit leaves the razor saturated with the cleaning liquid (literally) and these can (and did in my case) lead to skin allergy/soreness. I personally like this product and I would say that it costs me about six pounds per month to keep my razor clean and fresh. Some reviewers have suggested using washing up liquid or liquid soap instead but the proper cleaning fluid also includes lubricant; given the price of the foil and cutters for these razors I don't think it's worth skimping on the clearing products. The cleaning cartridge didn't last long but I've since learned the following trick; when the razor says it needs to be cleaned, take the foil/cutter assembly off and tap the hair clippings out into the sink. Then press and hold the power button on the razor until it enters cleaning mode and run the head under the tap. Pop the foil/cutter back on and clean the razor in the cleaning station. When using these there is no need to oil your shaver with the oil supplied. They are a touch pricey I feel but they do a great job.
