Terrific looper
This is ideal for building up live loops during performance. It can't store loops so it's not a band in a box but it is very simple to use and gives you two separate loop channels so it's very versatile. Each of the two loop channels allows unlimited overdubs - can't imagine a situation where you'd want more than a couple on each channel but the facility is there. The total loop length across both channels is 90 seconds so you can have one 90 loop, two 45 second loops, etc. Doesn't sound a lot but in reality 90 seconds is about half the length of an entire song so it's more than enough for verse/chorus loops. You can either synchronise the two loops or keep them independent.I can't detect any extra noise being introduced by having the pedal in my signal chain. I have it at the very end of the chain so I can choose which effects from earlier in the chain get recorded on any loop. Fidelity of the loop playback is 100%.The built in effects on the unit aren't much above the level of a gimmick to be honest. You also can't really work them with your foot so unless you're happy to bend down to the unit and fiddle with it in between recording phrases they're pretty pointless.Operating the loops for record/play/overdub/stop is dead simple and the pedals are reasonably robust-feeling although I would be a little more careful with them than with an all-metal pedal.Comes with 6 AA batteries but using a power supply is going to be essential so allow an extra couple of quid to buy one from Maplin or wherever. One brilliant thing is that it has a headphone output which takes the standard small headphone plug so for practicing you can do away with everything except this little unit and a set of 'phones.

Vox VDL-1 DYNAMIC LOOPER Review
I had been looking around for a Loop pedal for some time when I eventually came across this one. I am not a musician myself and bought this for my fiance who is, so I'll try my best to tell you as much as possible about it.It was the highest rated one I could find. It has many great features including pre effects such as Bass, which is ideal for those who do not have one or can not play one. There are other pre effects as well like pitch, wah pedal, mod, acoustic, stutter, EQ. delay, reverb and Sci-fi. The loop effects include volume, X fade, reverse, loop in loop, pitch, speed, scrub, stutter, mod, filter and delay. There is also the option if a singer to use this for audio. There are two loop stations. It is easy enough to work and use. As with any product it has its limitations such as the volume control and the recording time max of 90secs. These however are minor issues that are workable. The price of this product compared to others with more limited functions cost me far less then if I was going to get one of the others. This loop pedal is particularly good for those who wish to record and are starting out. It is usable for live performance as well. I am very satisfied with the purchase. My fiance is getting good use out of it and having a lot of fun with it. I would recommend this product.

It does a lot, but not briliantly.
This is a well constructed loop pedal that does what it's supposed to - you bash the buttons and it can record two loops.PROIt does looping. Some of the pedal effects are pretty cool, although they're the sort of thing one would only want to use once in a set, so of limited use.It has a mic and an instrument inputThe pedal works nicelyCONIt's mono, and the sound quality isn't brilliantIt seems to play the loop back louder than the inputThere is a limiter, but the more you do with it, the more horrible it sounds. I would add that I'm not overdriving itThe effects are horrible and poor qualityThe metronome/timed loops are almost impossible to do anything with.. the click is too loud, and if you turn it off you have to work out what the beginning of a bar is to get a full loopNavigating the presets is a nuisance.. it's too easy to go up a preset by accident, since to move from loop 1 to loop 2 involves pressing the two top footswitches, and if you get it wrong you end up hitting the clear switch - which does nothing - and the programme up switch . Going back down involves pressing the top right and bottom right footswitch. Get that wrong and you go up ANOTHER preset, and restart the loop. Maybe I'm just a bit incapable or wearing the wrong footwear, but this happens too much.So yeah.. it's not bad for the money, but I would say that there are definitely better pedals out there, and there's a reason you see the Boss loop pedals on more YouTube videos than this one. It's a nice colour though.

Perfect for beatboxers!!!
After shopping about and wanting to find something that works for beatboxers I came across this beauty for a very decent price! The built in effects give you everything you need to make some really cool loops with bass synth sound and reverbes and a lot more! There's a lot of other pedals out there made for beatboxers but this really does what you need it too. This pedal is very easy to use and it's just plug in and play. There's so much you can do as a beatboxers or musician with this pedal and I highly recommend this for the price.Very happy with my purchase :)One thing I will mention is that the pads give off a bit of a clunk when clicking but other than that I can't fault it.

Well made. Good value
For the price a reasonable purchase. Seems well made. Not sure about the added effects which are not of great quality but given the price would not be sensible to expect more

Great Looper
Love this looper. Has features that more expensive loop stations dont, eg. Looper is engaged but it waits for sound before looping. Battery operation is also optional if you are onstreet bsuking. The extension pedal is a great feature. This is a well thought out product and I use it frequently with acoustic shows. If there was an auto off function for the metronome it would be pretty much perfect. Would highly recommend it.

Good fun and easy
This is easy to use, in fact it's easier than that. The reason why it isn't 5 stars is the lack of ability to save. I didn't think it would be an issue, but it is quite annoying when you get it right and you can't save it.
