It also fits my B&D strimmer and chainsaw. **Q: how do i know if it is the battery or charger as battery wont hold charge** A: If you get a steady green light when you plug in the charger the battery is fully charged. If it flashes green the battery is being charged but if however if it turns to a slow flashing red the battery is severely depleted. A rapidly flashing red means the battery has a fault -usually one of the cells in it has been cracked or damaged. The only way to check if the charger is at fault is to swap batteries. The batteries trickle charge once they have been fully charged but you need to charge it up fully -usually 24 hours- before you start to use it. The batteries are sealed and so cannot be repaired or replaced. I have several batteries and two chargers so always have some batteries on trickle charge. Black & Decker don't seem to sell the chargers on there own so had to purchase a second piece of B & D equipment in order to get the 2 nd charger. **Q: Will this battery fit hp118f4l 18v** A: Well might do as my B&D Drill is a EGBL 188K-GB and it fits it perfectlyThe bar code for my drill is 5 035048 358917Hope this help you **Q: How long i need to charge this battery?** A: Battery light just flashing red and not charging ## Frequently Bought Together - BLACK+DECKER BL1518-XJ 18 V 1.5 A Lithium Ion Battery - BLACK+DECKER POWERCONNECT Cordless Strimmer 28cm String Trimmer 18V with AFS (without battery or charger), STC1820PC-GB - BLACK+DECKER Spool and Line 10 m for Reflex Strimmer Nylon Wire 1.5 mm Diameter Transparent and Resistant A6481-XJ --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/48342683-black-decker-18v-1-5ah-lithium-ion-battery-bl1518-xj](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/48342683-black-decker-18v-1-5ah-lithium-ion-battery-bl1518-xj) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
