Pioneer Official Case for XDP-300R Digital Audio Player

I actually wanted a cover for the XDP-100R, but this item came up in the search. At first it looks like it will be a perfect fit, it is well-made, and has a good feel to it. However it does not quite fit the 100R. The problem is that there is a small piece of leather which goes across the bottom of the case. I assume that the bottom of the 300R fits across this piece ok. The bottom of the 100R fouls this piece. I solved it by removing the piece with a sharp blade. The case is tight enough that I don't think it will be a long-term problem. Pioneer seem to have discontinued the 100R case, and so this case is the only one I could find to protect the player.

Really disappointed, it's a good fit but that said it's just made of cheap plastic, I am surprised that Pioneer put their name to this, I expected leather at this price, I feel robbed.

Way too expensive for what is essentially some cheap pvc. As many have mentioned the fit is way too tight so that once you put the player in it takes a herculean effort to get it out again.

When I read some of the reviews for this case I thought people were exaggerating when they said this case was hard to get off. They weren't. This case fits tighter than a pair of leather jeans around Kim Kardashian's backside. I know this because I got this to fit my shiny new silver Pioneer XDP-100R and then decided I wanted a black one instead so had to remove the case to send it back. It took me about 20 minutes to remove it and an awful lot of force and swearing! Oh and yes this fits the XDP-100R PERFECTLY after you remove the bottom bumper which takes seconds to do.Anyway once fitted it really does look great and is very well made as you would expect from Pioneer. It's PU Leather, as in not real leather but that doesn't matter to me. There are holes in all the right places for the buttons and ports and the border doesn't impede the use of the screen in any way. I was concerned about just how tight the case is when sliding over the volume knob (see photo) but once on it's all good. Just don't ever try taking it off unless you really have to! Is it worth £40 at time of my review? No... but there really isn't any alternative. Lost a star for the price which should have been 50% lower.

Great product if a little pricey. No complaints with quality. It’s a tight fit initially but all is good once on. I would buy again.

I dropped my last DAP a lot, so a case definitely needed, and this is currently the only one available for the XDP 300. I am keeping it only because there is no other alternative.Here's the good point; It does protect the SD card slots from dust etc. That's it.Here are the bad points:"tough and stylish leather" - no it isn't - it's plastic.It is thin plastic and doesn't protect the edges in any realistic way.No screen saver provided - at this price it should be.Vastly overpriced- should be about £10 - and I'm being generous there.So, hugely overpriced and mostly useless. Wait for the alternatives to appear.

Bought this some time ago as I was having difficulty buying one for the XDP100R.I heard this is an almost perfect fit for the XPD100R - well - with a slight adjustment this does fit the XPD100 - you have to pull apart the leather flap on the bottom inside of case - very easy.Put the case over your XDP100 and then line up the flap in between the bumpers at the bottom of player.Using a sharp pair of scissors carefully cut the leather so as not to cover the speaker and the connector slot.Once carefully cut place a drop of glue on the inside of flap and tuck back in and slide the case back down.Be careful not to get glue on your player - all done - if you can get the correct case do so but this took me all of 10 minutes and it looks great and now fits 100 percent perfectly..

Horrible cheap PU - for the expense I would have expected real leather. Lets down the look of the player. Hopefully a third party will bring out something more fitting.

Perfecto complemento para el reproductor Pioneer XDP 300R.Lo unico que aconsejo tener metidas las tarjetas de memoria pues esta muy bien ajustado y cuesta sacarlo.

Sehr dünne, aber perfekt passende Hülle aus Kunstleder. Die gute Seite ist, dass die Hülle den Player nicht wesentlich dicker oder schwerer macht. Die schlechte Seite ist allerdings, dass sie weder Schutz vor Stürzen oder Schmutz bietet. In Anbetracht der ziemlich armseligen Materialwahl ist der Preis von 55€ auch geradezu lächerlich. Wenn ihr euren Player oft draußen dabei habt oder vor den Gefahren in eurem Reisegepäck schützen wollt, seid ihr mit einer Universal-Handytasche besser (und billiger) beraten.

Die "Pioneer Offizielle Hülle" ist zu diesem Preis eine Frechheit.Sie ist aus sehr dünnen Kunstleder und sehr empfindlich. Die Passgenauigkeitist unterirdisch, denn sie ist zu kurz. Dadurch ist ein Schutz in oberen Bereichdes Gerätes nicht gegeben und der obere Teil des Displays wird verdeckt.Außerdem ist die Hülle so eng gearbeitet, das es fast nicht mehr möglich ist,sie ohne Beschädigungen zu entfernen. Gerade unter dem Hintergrund die Speicherkarten zu tauschen,denn die Kartenslots sind in der Hülle nicht ausgearbeitet.
