There are multiple garden tap sizes and Hozelock offers a tap connector for every size, but which is the right one for your tap? Measuring your tap and buying the correct tap adapter can be confusing, as the measurement used is sized according to the standard British Standard Pipe, also known as BSP. This measurement refers to the size of the internal diameter of the pipe. Review: Decent quality and my first one has lasted 2 years so far - I really like the quality of these, they feel like fairly strong plastic. I bought one a couple of years ago and it is still working, so I would say it's quite durable. The connectors have a rubber seal which help prevent leaks and I've not had an issue, especially when using PTFE tape before screwing them on. It also has another connector at each end so that in theory you could daisy-chain these together and allows you to swap between the supply coming in from the left or coming in from the right. I connect mine to some Sonoff SWV (Smart Water Valves) so that I can automate all of the watering of the plants and the grass. I would recommend bringing it in over winter though to increase its lifespan and especially so that water doesn't freeze in it. You can take it off easily because you fix the bracket with a hook on it to a wall (or in my case a small post) and then you just slot the 4-way connector into the hook. The individual taps allow you to either fully open or partially open the value for each tap, which can be quite useful for irrigation systems where you might not want the full pressure. I wouldn't say that it's particularly cheap, but I've bought cheaper ones before and you just end up buying more of them in the same time period.

**Q: Can I connect 4 water butts and attach a hose to it? Would be the other way round. 4 hoses in and 1 out**
A: Yes the flow can be reversed but only if you are pumping from your water butt as like all connections it relies on pressure

**Q: Can I fit this Hozelock 2 way tap on the end of a hosepipe already laid in my garden, therefore giving me the option to run to further hoses of it.**
A: no. you can either attached theis to a tap and run extention hiose from the outlets or what i have done is hoselock do what they call repair kits. tney are great they come as elbows or straights and tees. wonderful all around the garden. where you need to extend hoses.  hope this is of some help. I really like the quality of these, they feel like fairly strong plastic. I bought one a couple of years ago and it is still working, so I would say it's quite durable. The connectors have a rubber seal which help prevent leaks and I've not had an issue, especially when using PTFE tape before screwing them on. It also has another connector at each end so that in theory you could daisy-chain these together and allows you to swap between the supply coming in from the left or coming in from the right.
