Found this really useful for making the transition from puppy pads to grass. We have fake grass in our garden so pup made the connection easily. Never actually used in doors, used on decking until pup had full access to garden. We keep it close to the house and he still uses it when it's raining (he's a delicate little boy who doesn't like the cold or rain).You have to rinse it and let it dry. Otherwise it smells terrible. I use a watering can full of warm water and now and again a weak disinfectant, making sure I rinse well and leave it to dry.

We bought this for our puppy as we don’t have a garden. It is quite a welt and needs to be cleaned most days especially if it is hot weather. 3 layers so a bit of a faff to clean. Have seen those with a removable tray to clean and empty which we are going to buy next

Puppy took to the matt straight away! It is really good but even after just a week and several washes there is a lingering urine smell which is not pleasant. Going to keep using it for as long as needed to train to only go outside but may have to get rid of it after.

Pee doesn’t soak through the grass and into the tray below... the grass doesn’t actually lock into anything so can juss as t be dragged off.The whole thing is super cheap and bad quality. If anything id want a refund for this. Never buying again, do NOT recommend whatsoever.

It really depends what you require this product for. We bought it when we got our 8 week old puppy as three days a week we work 8 hour days and we wanted the puppy to have somewhere to go, also overnight use, so it sat in the corner of our kitchen.The dog took to it straight away - we had no issues teaching it what it was for. If anything it took to it too well and soon wouldn't go anywhere else, so it was used daily by our dog for toileting. However, I could not recommend this to anyone as I really don't believe it is suitable for any consistent indoor use. Reason - it really quickly starts to reek. I do mean absolutely stink. We bought expensive urine cleaners etc and used these to clean this from the start. The base was super easy to clean daily and of course any solid droppings were easy to lift and we always gave a spray of urine busting products on top of the grass top mat. We additionally hosed it all down, spraying and soaking/cleaning the top mat every 2/3 days. This was actually a fairly arduous process that would be very wearing to keep up. We used it for 3/4 months and it was such a chore to clean. The top mat takes forever to dry. We actually bought another so that we had two to rotate.The issue, after a lot of google-ing in order to see if there was anything that could be done, was that these types of mats have a latex/rubber type backing. This material, over time will start to stink and retain the urine smell no matter what is used to clean it. Tbh, in the end after a few months of use the ammonia smell was overwhelming and totally hazardous. I binned them. I don't see how any one could successfully use this consistently. We kept it really clean and used expensive ammonia busting products, but the pee smell just built up and up. We have a really mini sized dog too :(Tbh, we decided that we still needed to use an indoor toilet system and splurged on the best one available -the piddle place. It was over £100, so pretty expensive and it's also larger than this so takes up a bit more space, but wish we had this from the start. Really could recommend that one. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and if you are looking for an indoor dog toilet to be used daily, then that is the one to go for. Trust me.

Wow....we have a paved courtyard garden, had bought a large seed tray and piece of turf to try & train puppy to do her ‘business in one place rather than all over slabs. DW used the grass mainly for her poi’s but with an upset tummy wasn’t great for cleaning up!🙈😉 and also puppy liked to dig at the grass..lovely muddy paws and muddy face. looked into something more hygienic and found this toilet system, ordered the recommended Puppy Aid spray and Stain and Odour Remover spray at same time. product arrived Wednesday, sprayed it with the Puppy Aid Spray...as soon as pup went out she went straight onto ‘new tray’ sniffed it and had a wee!!...left out grass tray with new tray we now on Friday and she using ‘new tray’ for both!! As it outside will be very easy to wash down and of course won’t have the smell like would if was indoors...using the odour spray indoors on the spots where she sneaks a cheeky tinkle...that seems to be working too 🎉 Did read the other reviews...so far pup not tried to chew the artificial grass.

Only had this 3 days but my new puppy took to it after a day and it's now the only place he goes. Only downside is some of the grass went like singed when I washed it and the water was only warm. But I suppose any artificial grass might do that? I haven't noticed a smell yet like other reviews have said but I've only had it 3 days. It's quite big so found it easier to wash it in the bath with the shower hose. It doesn't look like a cheap one like some of the others I've seen online so I actually think it looks alright in the living room for now.
