**Q: Will it cut thicker tomato slices for burgers?**
A: The maximum cutting thickness is 5/16”.  When slicing tomatoes be a little more aggressive to make a clean cut.

**Q: Is this hard on your hands & wrist pushing it down?**
A: No it’s not hard to move up and down as it’s spring loaded so returns to the top on its own!  Only need to push down, will pop back up by itself.

**Q: Does this dice in 1 swoop or is it still a 2 step process? Slice, reload sliced and then dice? Thanks in advance**
A: I recently received this so I am still getting used to it but I think it is a 2 step to dice. I cant see how it would dice without reloading.

**Q: Can this grate raw beets?**
A: This is not a grater.  Slices great though.

Husband loves it. He is 6’2” and he has nice big shoulders. He can make uniform cut beautiful french fries and has zero problems shredding cabbage. The mandolin slicer is easy to use, has oodles of cool features, and is durable, sharp and doesn’t slide around. However, I am 5’7” and this is more of a workout for me. At he kitchen counter, I can do it, but my arm tires easily and my hand gets I cont because of the height issue. If I put this on the dining room table- it’s easier for me. The floor is perfect. I could slice away and I’m not worn and sore when I’m done making coleslaw. The mandolin makes it hard to injure ourselves. The mandolin is easy to disassemble for cleaning purposes. It’s not real heavy either because the majority of it is plastic. Like all lightweight items. Plastic. This is only the third mandolin I have used and it is also the best. My Moms has a closed mandolin so all the sliced material stays in one spot. It doesn’t spill and fly onto the countertop. Both of the other mandolins make it easy to slice fingers or hand parts. I recommend this mandolin as the best and safest to use with multiple options.

Exceptional in ease of use, easy cleaning, and performance. Too early to tell about long term quality but it does feel like it will last. I do a log of freeze drying and it has handled everything I have used it to slice fresh and frozen items with ease. The hopper design makes it easy to work with handfuls of chunks of food. For example, I buy large packages of ginger, peel and slice 4mm thick slices for freeze drying. With this, after peeling, I can toss in a handfuls of ginger in the hopper and slice them perfectly in a few seconds. It disassembles easily for cleaning and storage. Would absolutely buy again, and probably will as a gift.
