Q: Is it possible to use with the built-in display of a laptop or external monitor/tv is required? Have anybody use it with built in?

Data comes from the motherboard, it is computed by the box and sent back into the motherboard, so it will work with any computer that has thunderbolt 3 port and It will work with the display of the computer, and it will also multiply the video signal to the other TVs or displays connected with HDMI ports. I dont know if it would really limit speed because they are using this strange Thunderbolt cable for its 40Gbps capability. I don't know if being plugged on a motherboard would increase this speed or are they comparable, in any case communication speed is good, the frames lost if ever wouldnt be more than 4 fps

Q: can you connect more than one to the NUC if so how?

The NUC should have one or more thunderbolt 3 port. The thunderbolt port is mandatory to use the box, otherwise you must detach the video card and use it in a desktop pc using a riser adapter card to plug it to the motherboard small video card slot, and another power supply 600w minimum because the card is very powerful. It s cheaper than buying a gtx 1080 and has the box included for when in the future you ll get a thunderbolt 3 equipped computer so the product is really nice in the end but if you lack the thund 3 you ll have to do some "do it yourself" and buy these 2 components a riser and another psu. I do not know if the NUC has that port or if it has mini pci slots in the motherboard

Yes it works with the XPS 13. You would have 2 pcie lanes if you bought your laptop before 2018 (9360 or earlier) 4 pcie lanes if you bought the 2018 XPS 13 9370 or later.

I highly doubt it because the gaming box is custom made for a smaller proprietary graphics gtx 1080 card that gigabyte makes. The power demands for the 1080ti might also be greater than for the 1080.
