**Q: it doesnt come with strings so do you need to hold on to anything for balance?**
A: No. You are meant to use it without holding on to anything. I can do this easily and I am in my fifties. However, I suspect some people wouldn't manage to do this.

**Q: can you vary the resistance?**
A: No it is set for you.

**Q: what are the dimensions**
A: In old money - floor footprint is approx' 12" x 18"

**Q: Would this be good for toning inner thighs?**
A: I recently purchased this product and really feel the burn in my thighs when I use it but not specifically for the inner thighs. This stepper only goes up and down. Look for one that goes side to side as well if you want to tone inner thighs :)

Good product at a good price. Do check the bolts are done up properly regularly as I found one of them worked loose and needed to be tightened up. Really easy to use and does its job well.
