Cole & Mason Richmond Electric Salt and Pepper Mills, Adjustable Grind Mechanism, Chrome/Acrylic, 215 mm, Gift Set, Includes 2 x Electric Grinders

Bought these to replace some cheaper grinders that were useless.They are excellent grinders and you can tell they are well made and consistently grind at the setting set on each of them. Very nice to look at and easy to use. Other reviews mention the battery life is too short but I have found them to last a long time and these grinders get used every day. Would recommend if you are are looking for a good set of salt and pepper grinders.

It’s great, I got it in the sale, the downside is it takes 6 AAA Batteries for each item, if I gad realised thst I wouldn’t have bought it, but it is easy fill, nice quality, adjustable grind, I do really like it

The compartment for the condiments is tiny, only about 1 inch deep, & it takes 6 batteries each grinder! Other than that I'm very pleased with them. 2 months later, the salt mill is fine but the pepper mill is useless, despite adjusting the button at the bottom , it just can,t cope with whole peppercorns. I have tried to pre grind the corns but that defeats the object & it,s now unused. Its back to my old manual one which is great.

Have bought these before, but unfortunately the salt grinder broke and I deserted Cole and Mason and chose a cheaper option and bought Salter ones, bad mistake, they were absolutely useless hence the reason I have come back to Cole and Mason even if they are more expensive! Anything to stop the shaking of the Salter ones to get them to work!!Yes they do need a lot of batteries, but they last a long time and grind perfectly with options for finer or larger grinding and very easy to operate. They also look good and are lightweight they also don't leave a mess all over the worktop as there is no leakage of salt or pepper when not in use.Wouldn't be without them now!Only thing I would say is that they don't come filled with salt and pepper despite what the advert says which was slightly disappointing as I had to go and buy some....Can't go wrong with these love em!

Like some other reviewers, I bought these to replace my previous set which were identical but after knocking them over too many times i had broken the casing and the top half no longer stayed attached to the base. I'd had them for years and was otherwise happy with them.However the new units while apparently identical clearly have inferior components. One of the new mills broke after 6 weeks, the motor can be heard running but does not turn the output shaft and hence wont grind anything. Now after 9 months the other unit has done exactly the same.I'm able to pull the old innards from my previous set - the old motors are still going strong. But based on my experience wih the replacements I would not buy again and can't recommend these. No ability to return for warranty repair / replacement either, as far as I can make out from Amazon.

Nice looking and operate well however after 6 months salt unit was faulty. Contacted Amazon and returned for a refund. Have purchased replacements so will see if this was a one off or not.

Good quality grinders, I previously had a cheaper brand which would grind everything approximately the same , regardless of the setting used, but these are by far much better, giving an excellent fine or coarse texture.

Great product, had a pair as a gift for several years, also the salt one decided to stop turning and these are not repairable. Luckily Amazon to the rescue, and replaced with these almost identical products. Always found that these are very versatile, and battery life not too bad.Only down side is they use 6 aaa batteries. Shame its not say 2 AA batteries. All the same would def recommend these.2022- Just replaced them again, 6 years after the last ones. Alas it was the salt one again. Was the main culprit. Salt just eats away at the grinding mechanism, it was working but i tried to adjust the grinding level, and bust the adjuster. Still got the pepper one, so now have a spare. These are still the best of the bunch.

First impressions. Needed 12 AAA batteries (6 each). Never used so many batteries on a device before. The Pepper mill worked great but the salt mill only produced small amounts. Will try with different type of salt after finishings what I have already filled. So far good.
