WeeRide Pro Pilot Aluminium Tagalong Children's Trailer Bike - Blue

Set this up yesterday and my son absolutely loves it! Have only had it out on straight paths/roads not trails, but both he and his dad enjoyed it and can't wait for a Sunday cycle.I seen on their own website that he doesn't meet the height requirements to pedal, but that he could coast on the bike with only 40cm inner leg length so we took the plunge. He is 3.5 but can just about reach the pedals at the bottom with the seat fully down. I did see his feet slip occasionally, but it was his first time riding it and he does do that with his own bike.You will need some foam or a bit of a rag for the stem post clamp as otherwise it will damage it. Other than that it's perfect

When the bike turned up I was initially very pleased with it. It fitted my 4-year-old very well and he was eager to try it out.We got out on the road and he tried pedaling and his foot went straight down and he nearly fell off! He tried again, same thing.I took us home and popped it up on the bike stand to see what was wrong. The freewheel had been cross-threaded from the factory and was now spinning freely in either direction having destroyed the threads on the wheel hub.Requested a replacement from Amazon who delivered another 2 days later (fantastic service as always).Replacement was of a very slightly different design in some places. Poor quality phillips screws had been replaced with better quality allen items. I put it together and pumped up the tyre to be presented with a hissing sound. On the bike stand it went and the tyre and innertube were removed to find the tube punctured where a piece of swarf from the machining process had been left on the wheel.Son, very disappointed indeed.I'm not returning this one for a new innertube (just bought one) but will be stripping it down completely to make sure nothing else is wrong with it.I would recommend that if you buy this bike, get it checked over by a professional (or yourself if you know your bikes) before you put your child on it.Not very impressed at all to be honest.

I've been using these for 4 years now ( this is my 2nd one as the first was getting a bit worn out). Such a great way to cycle with a slightly older child. It's heavy though despite being made of aluminium. I've used it for my son between age 5-9, and am now using it for my daughter who was 4 when we started and is now six. It's great when the child pedals but a hard slog when they don't! Either way, it's great because it means you can take the bike with the child in a way that simply isn't possible when you're on the road and they're on the pavement. Plus it really is easy to remove when you don't need it. They just need to make it in titanium and id love a version for 9-12 year olds.

This is an excellent well built tag along and has allowed my kids to come along with me for a ride.

I wasn’t impressed and it was sent back.Firstly, it seems very heavy to me. Secondly it says 4years plus but my boy is the size of most five year olds and would need an extra six inches leg length to reach the floor. The rear wheel is about 20inches if that helps. Thirdly, it was chipped. Fourthly, it was stiff and difficult to unfold and disengage again.You get the idea. It would be a better plan to go to a bike shop and get the feel for one there, with your child.By the time my (tall) child would be able to fit this he will be able to ride independently in any case, making the tag along pointless.

Great product! Assembles easily and my daughter loves being on it on our bike rides. Her peddling also acts like a little motor marking my life easier too!I contacted the customer services to ask a question about the pivot which was responded to within 24hrs (over a weekend!).Great product supported by efficient and knowledgeable customer services - perfect.

This tag along is brilliant! My daughter went from the Weeride (seat in front of the adult) to this. It's fantastic. We pedal together and having had a pull along covered carriage this makes such a difference. You are not pulling a dead weight. You have a wee co-pilot behind you who helps you up the hills. There are times when I coast and my daughter (4) is doing all the pedalling!! We absolutely love it. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wonderful bike extension for a child. We got this when our little boy became too big for the child seat and it was a great investment. This one, being aluminium is also quite light which was also a reason to purchase, in spite of being slightly more expensive than the plain steel type.
