Bought this for a "homebrew" Raspberry Pi Alexa project.
Bought this an the input device for a "homebrew" Raspberry Pi Alexa project.Once I set audio levels correctly on the Pi it works really well.I can speak to the Alexa/Pi from anywhere in the room and Alexa understands my Scottish accent almost all the time. The microphone is plug and play, picks up sound easily, very unobtrusive.5 stars.

Good for skype, not for recording
Not great for recording, but im sure it would be fine for skype. It works straight away no software, just not good for what I needed it for.

Rubbish
Utter waste of money. It says it's suitable for a PC or a Mac, but the one they've sent me doesn't show even the slightest glimmer of working with my Mac - I've tried every USB slot and it's dead; radio silence; zilch. I've tried it with two programmes which require a microphone, and they cannot detect it. It says it comes with documentation in English; it doesn't. It doesn't even have documentation in Chinese, where it's made. On the web, the promotions say it's plug-and-play and no driver is needed. It plugs, but it doesn't play. It says it's the world's smallest microphone. Point 1: it isn't. Point 2: it's useless. Even if they charged a penny for this, it would be over-priced. I'm sending it back for a refund.

Nice and Neat
I bought this because the built-in microphone on my Dell laptop became unreliable. It's neat, and can be left in its socket permanently. It works well with Google,Skype recognises it and accepts as default but it does not work. (May be a software problem with skype - anyone know???)

Does exactly what it says on the tin!
I purchased this microphone because the microphone in my laptop would not work. I contacted the manufacturere but was told that because my laptop was out of guarantee that I would have to pay for having the problem diagnosed. I bought this mic and just plugged it in and it worked without any fancy software. It solved my problem.

Poor input level
Very poor input on raspberry pi, not good enough for speech recognition. Also when removing from USB socket it came apart! Okay it was just the plastic top that came off, still works as poor as it did! Only had a few days but not happy. Tried on Windows 8.1 PC too and still poor input levels

) Excellent delivery, and a reasonably priced product which does ...
Had bought a new Computer which didn't have a mic. so looked around and fond the Kinobo -USB 2.0 Mini microphone (in order to use Cortana in Windows 10.)Excellent delivery, and a reasonably priced product which does as expected, giving good response to my very average voice level.Would definitely recommend both Company and microphoneThank you.

Cheap, but not very sensitive
Not the best microphone in the world, but you'd not expect that at the price. What you wouldn't expect is to have to shout at it from 60cm to get it to recognise any input. Not really suitable for voice commands.

Three Stars
Good sound only if you're within 1 ft of the microphone. Otherwise the other person won't hear you.

Precio resultado estupendo
Se me oía mal en skype sin cascos y fue la solución, muy pequeño y se ve que la calidad de sonido ha mejorado mucho incluso cuando me alejo.

Works well with FLdigi software and an old laptop with no "ears"
I bought this product to make up for the lack of a microphone in a circa 2008 Windows XP laptop that was originally my daughter's "off to college" computer. She has since discarded the computer and other than being trashed with iTunes it was perfectly serviceable for my needs after a re-image of the hard drive with the exception of the absence of a microphone. I wanted the smallest microphone I could find and I wasn't keen about what was available, desktop goodies with cords and bases did not serve my intent which was simple portability.A USB microphone of this size was perfect for what I had in mind which was to repurpose the computer for use as a portable audio signaling terminal over HAM radio. For those not familiar the concept is to use audio band signaling to move digital (text and numbers) traffic over a radio channel, pretty much any radio channel but in my case HAM band service. There are two ways to do this, direct coupled with wires and interfaces, or audio coupled using the radio microphone to the computer speakers and the computer microphone to the radio speaker. Just one little problem, my somewhat elderly laptop did not have a microphone, and that is where this product comes in, it supplies the microphone. The requirement is somewhat demanding, by using multiple tones on multiple frequencies in the audio band specialized software encodes the ones and zeros as tones that can be read as ASCII text on the other end of the radio link. With sophisticated techniques the software can build enough redundancy into the tone signaling to make it possible to send and receive error free text and numbers over a very noisy radio channel. But to keep it simple I wanted to use audio coupling which is very demanding service for a product like this one. A friend and I had excellent luck in early testing moving data back and forth over a radio channel using my old Dell laptop and FLdigi software. We used audio coupling methods (hold the speaker near the mic, press send on the computer and key the mic, and vice versa). My experience was the FLdigi software was not the least bit fussy about audio levels provided by the microphone and it worked very well for my purposes. There was a little bit of a configuration struggle getting Windows to pay attention to the microphone but that is more of a Windows issue. For the price it was a great value and exactly what I needed.
