I have a sturdy, good quality music stand and this is perfect for it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great solution *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 23 January 2016* Our child's violin tutor suggested we leave the violin 'out' and ready to play to encourage little-and-often practice sessions; after much research we chose this item.Really pleased with it as the violin sits quite securely in this holder, which is important as the new violin is a significant upgrade and would be expensive to replace/repair; the shoulder rest can be left on which a great time saver as this is awkward to put on exactly right each time.After reading some other reviews we also bought a much heavier duty concert music stand to attach it to as the lighter folding/portable variety would be too unstable and likely to tip or be knocked over with young children in the household. We also liked that it didn't take up extra floor space as some of the other products do. For the outlay this is a brilliant idea as there is always safe home for the violin and bow to be left when having a break from playing.
