Review: Only lasted 7 weeks. Support awful. Replacement has lasted better. - My original review was positive, as the laptop seemed good value. However, just 7 weeks after delivery it died. After logging the fault by phone I took the dead laptop in to their office. They confirmed it as dead and kept it for repair. They said I'd get it back within 10 working days. 2 full weeks later I still have no laptop and no update on what is happening or when I will get it back. So I have to say - avoid Medion ! desertcart were much more helpful, and offered me a full refund if I got the dead laptop back. I told Medion this and asked for it back - and lo! next day they said they'd ship a replacement out to me! They didn't though (of course), so I went to their office today and collected it myself. So I now have a laptop again, and promise to update this review in future if it stays working (or not!). Update: Bit later than I had planned, but yes the laptop has continued to work for 2 years. Sound has remained poor and fans remained noisy, which were originally the only 2 downsides I saw. I have also found that the battery loses some charge when laptop is not on and not plugged in to mains for some reason, but as I rarely use battery (games would eat through it in no time) I haven't bothered complaining. I still tend to play older games, DX11 graphics, and it performs well enough for me. Is a shame that the Medion service is so poor, and the hit-and-miss nature of receiving a working or faulty unit even when bought new, which have resulted in so many low revue scores.
Review: Extremely good value!!! - Have you seen how much the RTX 3050 costs if you buy it as a desktop card??!! This laptop is powerful, and runs most games at great FPS. Red Dead 2 looks gorgeous, as does Cyberpunk. Sound card is great, but speakers are not. But who used laptop speakers anyway??!! Screen is good but if you're (serious about) gaming you aint gonna use it are you?! Do yourself a favour, install a 1Tb SSD, extra RAM and plug in a 28" 144htz screen, some decent speakers and a gaming keyboard and mouse and you have a top gaming rig for under £600!!! Seriously! Superb value. AFTER ONE YEAR.... This laptop is still brilliant. Works perfectly. No issues at all. After 3 YEARS.... Still working totally fine. Honestly, I think some people are just clueless.

**Q: Is there any warranty?**
A: Mine came with a 2 year warranty, and I can see the current product description still states this is the case. Be wary though, as they didn't live up to all promises when mine failed until Amazon stepped in and offered a full refund themselves - and I can see others have also taken refunds from Amazon when device failed so at least you have the better Amazon support as a back up.

**Q: What type of SSD can get into the extra slot?**
A: Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Portable Memory CT8G4SFRA32A

**Q: Can this laptop be charged with a USB-C power supply?**
A: not that I can see, power brick only I believe

### ⭐ Stopped working after less than a month

I read the poor reviews and against my better judgement decided to go ahead anyway. The laptop was very noisy but that was something I was happy to live with it as it performed well for the price. However after less than a month's use it simply stopped turning on. Am returning to Amazon for a full refund. I've decided to replace it with a similar spec laptop with better reviews and this time I'm happy to pay slightly more in the hope it won't be such a disappointing experience.
