Zinc Oxide is very water repellent and therefore a great barrier cream (and great for soothing irritated skin) however it is white in appearance (thick & creamy). It is therefore not a product we recommend for everyday lip care. Our Calendula and Marshmallow Balm is a great multitasking product and is very popular for lip care as it is softening, hydrating and repairing. Many thanks :)** A: I bought it for the dermatitis so I was applying it where it was flared out, but it didn’t help me very much. I found it a bit too heavy/settled on the surface. Based on that I probably wouldn’t think it would be good for clearing the blocked pores. But zinc is generally good for skin healing. And I cannot see there any comedogenic ingredient. Some report the Zinc to be a little drying if skin is already dry, where as Marshmallow is hydrating - both products are rich in Calendula (a soothing ingredient). The Zinc and Calendula Cream is a very effective barrier cream also. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing cream *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 2 September 2026* I bought this cream to treat a serious case of dyshidrotic eczema that had spread over my right palm with small, itchy, watery blisters, dry flaky and cracked skin that was red-raw and split.I had tried several other natural balms that had all been effective for the first few days but without fail a small outbreak would lead to my whole hand flaring up again within a few hours.I was blown away by the effect of this cream. I used it little and often throughout the day and always applied within 3 minutes of washing my hands and before I went to bed.Within four days the blisters were greatly reduced in number and the skin looked softer and far less angry. In fact, my hand returned to a more normal skin colour - rather than the crusty red it had been for 6 months. The progress after 10 days was remarkable and I could hardly believe the improvement.I kept using this cream for several weeks and now my hand looks like its old self again. One happy customer here. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bought for dermatitis *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 27 August 2020* I have seen one YouTuber was recommending this for the dermatitis and because I have been fighting with it for a few weeks I am desperate and would buy anything.I applied it at night on the clean skin and left overnight in ever so slightly thicker layer. The skin was fine in the morning, not too oily even though the cream feels very oily and heavy. I kept using it through all day because I was at home and eventually gave up and in the evening I applied my usual which so far has been helping me the most - coconut oil and into it I added a bit of this cream.It seems my skin prefers it slightly diluted. And so far so good but not miracles yet.
