Review: Do you like a good coddle? - I purchased three of these, all in differing styles. I like the quirky design on this and wish they'd do more like it. They come packed into a small but very strong carton and as I bought three, these were then inside a typical outer deliver carton. None were damaged on arrival. Size-wise, they are big enough for a large egg with suitable accompaniment and while two small eggs may work, I don't think you'd get enough 'filling' in there as well, beside, separate coddler' will keep the second one warm whilst you eat the first. The metal screw top is a tight fit -as you'd expect, so care needs to be taken when opening them, especially since there may be a steam build-up inside and the ceramic will be hot.

Lovely item, does exactly what it says on the box. When you clean them though, you must use a toothbrush to get under the inside metal rim. If you dont egg gets stuck there and smells rotten! Easy to clean with an old toothbrush though 2 eggs and some cheese is well worth theb scrub!
