A: A sharp blade will cut the glove 1st, but will cut your skin next, if enough pressure exists is left. Their is a small amount of protection.

**Q: How do i know which size relays to men's and which size related to women's?**
A: For this gloves the sizes are all for men.

**Q: Would they be suitable for using around the campfire, putting logs on the flame and moving food around the fire?**
A: They're not rated for being flame or heat proof. Full leather or suede gloves would be far better. 
They're a good quality work glove...but maybe not for that.
