Reduces risk of pressure sores
My lovely, once active, walk everywhere mother, is 87, can't walk more than a few feet without stopping, as a result of multiple comorbidities (awful team) and sits a lot. This, combined with additional bed time, makes her vulnerable to pressure sores and they can be horrible to deal with or heal. Donut style rings get a mixed health press in favour of costlier inflatables (!) but they seem to encourage perspiration. This is a simple and for Ma effective relief. I've bought this cotton cover to improve aesthetics and because a conventional pillow case would overlap. I don't know how durable the actual donut within will prove - whatever moulding has been used leaves cracks and small holes but, it's helping her butt!

It works for what it is.
It serves its purpose and covers my ring cushion, however I didnt realize it had no zip, just a sort of opening that overlaps. I would have preferred a zip cover for a more secure cover.
