Brilliant item. Tried teaching my kid by bending over and trying to hold and it was really bad for back. I got this and attached to my kids bike and it works really well. You can use one hand to stop them from going over and if they pull away successfully from you the item locks before it hits the ground so they can continue cycling by themself. Only had it 2 days and already my girl can cycle at speed by herself. She just has trouble setting off and at low speeds but that will come with time. No sore back anymore while training

We tried installing this as soon as it arrived but the piece that attaches to the bike broke (it’s metal and split in half). We emailed the seller who immediately said it was the extension and they’d send a replacement. Then they emailed back and asked to send a picture to make sure it was the extension. So I emailed a picture. Then they sent another email saying could I send more pictures showing the broken piece from different angles of to help them identify it. It’s ridiculous. There is a long handle, two washers, two bolts and the extenders. It’s obvious which piece is broken but they seem keen to just mess me around and not send a replacement part. I’m honestly a bit worried about using it even when or if they do decide to send the replacement piece as it’s clearly naff quality and potentially dangerous if it snaps whilst my daughter is on the bike.

It is a way of saving your back. No added benefit to the child, thou.

Brilliant. Fitted perfectly and is very sturdy. Easy to fit and use. Folds in to make it easier to get in the car. The bike is a 12 inch from argos with stabilisers removed. Great!

Really good device. After two days my four year old was ready to ride by himself and he’s been flying ever since...and no back pain from hunching over holding the bike seat!!

Arrived packaged in a simple plastic bag, which was torn, and the nuts and washers falling out. Luckily the delivery driver managed to retain them all and waited while I opened and checked.The foam plastic grip was split already.Does not fit on a Royal Baby bike with training wheels, because of the the shape of the brackets. But after a lot of playing around with it, I don't think it would work well on any bike with training wheels, contrary to the instructions (the handle would be very low, close to the ground).Should have been returned, but solution for me was a hacksaw and a file to modify it; as it's just an aluminum tube to save my back.
