Kidzlane Sing-A-Long CD Player with Dual Microphones

Durable. It's a good sounding CD player. It has the same type of features that a typical CD player would have plus a couple of lights that kinda sync to the music. But I really have to elaborate on the durability. First my preschool son has autism and his meltdowns are agressive (making lots of improvement.) This has been knocked off the table, thrown, hurled, kicked and slammed down. I thought it was a goner that first day. It still worked fine, any normal player would have broke. Time and again I would think "that's it, there's no way it survived THAT." and I was wrong. Finally it stopped working, it was just that a battery was knocked loose. Today it stopped for good. It's been 11 months since he first got it and probably over 1500 hours of play. I decided to take it apart to see if it could be fixed, and all that was wrong was an internal plug kinda like a phone jack had been jarred loose. It still works!!!!!!! I was really hesitant to buy something this expensive that might not last. I am so glad that I did. It's lasted far beyond any expectations.

Update: I received the new cd player and so far it's working great. I've changed my 3 stars to 4. Hopefully this one won't break.Update: I sent an email to Kidzlane customer service and they replied the same day and said they would send a replacement free of charge. Amazing customer service. Hopefully this one will work! I have changed my 1 star review to a 3, we'll see how this one works before I change it any further.This was a Christmas present for my kids. It worked well for about a month, but then it started to skip and not play some CDs. I replaced the batteries a few times, but now it will hardly turn on and when it does it only stays on for a few minutes. I'm very disappointed in the product. I hate that my kids' main present stopped working 2 months after they opened it.

I had reviewed another similar product online before ordering this one. This one has 2 mikes with volume controls, so got it.But wasn't prepared for the fantastic sound quality! Makes the children's songs on our CD's listenable even for adults, and the grandkids really do sing along! Grammie wants one for herself! Wish the mikes were also detachable so could be used more safely by little ones (under five)with less supervision.

My kids love this CD player with microphones! The dials are a little touchy so you can easily go from no sound to blasting in a single finger swipe. The dual mics are great for siblings, so they aren't fighting over it! My five year old hasn't had much trouble navigating the dials and buttons after a few days of use. Needs 6 C batteries. Overall, well worth the price!

The sound quality for the CD is good but the microphone isn't as good. To hear yourself amplified you have to hold it in front of your mouth at a certain specific angle and even then my son's voice regular is louder than it is coming out of the speaker. I should have paid attention to the fact that it takes 6 C batteries because now the adapter is sold out. My son enjoys it but there may be better options for kareoke. Handle is nice for my 4 year old to carry it around.

It was a Xmas gift for my 2 and 4-year-old niece and nephew. I wanted something that would let them listen to classic children's songs that I grew up with and sing along to them as well. I wanted something that would get them to use their imagination and listening, instead of watching TV of the iPad.The item seemed ideal for that and appeared durable enough to handle the job. It was certainly easy enough to operate.However, upon the day of Xmas reveal, it lasted all of 5 minutes in the interest department. The 2-year-old kept opening the CD cover, more fascinated in the spinning CD. The 4-year-old promptly stuck the microphone in his mouth. When he wasn't doing that he was using the microphone to scream at his sister. *sigh*.I still have high hopes that they will use it as I had intended.

We've had this for a few months and my girls love it. All parts have worked well and held up for a 2 and 4 year old. The only complaint I have is it SHOULD come with a cord! It eats up the batteries! I ordered one I thought I read would fit and didn't....and it didn't have free returns. Finally found one that worked and got it today. But it cost another $15!!!!! Way too expensive to add to something that is already $50. My advice, try to find a different brand that comes with a cord.

I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. We bought this as a Christmas gift for our little girl who is almost 2. We bought some kids sing along songs and she absolutely loves it. She sings along in the microphone and dances to the music. She already knows how to hit the play button and how to turn it off. We do help her change out the cd's so they don't get scratched. She has dropped it a couple times, and it does skip but then goes right back to playing the music. So it's pretty durable. I am pretty sure it will last her a few years.

This is easy to use and durable. My boys 5 and 7 really enjoy it. Only complaint is that when I bought it, it didn't come with an AC adapter. It goes through a lot of batteries because they do not always shut it off.

my son loves it. 2 yellow buttons at bottom are a little confused. They are for volume of speaker and mic, not right mic, left mic.. ;-)
