## Description

Andes Ramada 120L Extra Large Hiking Camping Backpack/Rucksack Luggage Bag : desertcart.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors

Review: One of my best ever purchases for the price - Why did you choose this product over others?: I rarely bother with reviews but this bag deserves one. I give it 5 stars not that it’s the best rucksack but for the price it’s definitely 5 stars. As a lot of people say it’s not 120ltr but it’s the same size as my other 100ltr but extra side pockets so it might be 120. Either way it’s hard to find a larger rucksack. I original like all the extra pockets but it can actually be confusing to rember what you put where if you use them all. Either way it’s a great option. I’ve used it for 3 festivals now and it’s held up well. Also great if you empty everything out of this rucksack, you can roll it up quite compact. The main draw back is the straps dig into your shoulders if walking 20mins plus and got alot in there. I bought some extra padding for £15 to put on the straps and this helped a lot. So if you’re gonna pack it to the max buy these. Also if you pack to the max, gently lift up by the straps, don’t yank it. It’s £30 for a reason, it’s not gonna be the most robust, but if you treat well, then it’s absolutely amazing for £30… well plus the £15 if you look up cushion pads to the straps.
Review: Much better than reviews suggest - I haven't written many reviews before, but feel compelled to do so on this occasion as the bag is so much better than the reviews suggested. The bag looked like just what I wanted, to use for wildlife photography, but I was hesitant to buy as some reviews had suggested it wasn't 120L or that the zips were stiff. I thought I would try it anyway despite some negative reviews, and the first positive point on this occasion was that although it was quoted as 4/5 days delivery, it came within two days. I unpacked it and whether it is 120L or not I was pleasantly surprised by how big it actually is. It is probably just what I would have hoped for and means I can carry a photography hide, an inflatable mat, and my camera gear. The zips are faultless and not only open without any stiffness at all, but are actually very smooth to open. Perhaps there has been an upgrade in this area. The fabric and stitching are very good and there are a useful amount of pockets of different sizes. If I was going to suggest anything it would be that the plastic buckles and the nylon drawstring area at the top of the bag were a bit more substantial. At this price point these are usable, and may last, but I would be happy to pay more for this bag if these were stronger looking. All in all I am really pleased with this bag and hope that it will last for £30 worth of time. If that is a year of fairly light use it is probably reasonable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value for money, but with some flaws
*by L***N on 28 March 2024*

Editing this review from 5 stars down to 4 stars having used the backpack for 3 wild camping trips and a music festival. It still gets a good review because it was very cheap and has served me well. After getting more into wild camping and long walks with a heavy load, I realised with this pack it's very difficult to get enough weight on your hips without it being really uncomfortable, and you ideally want 80% of the load on your hips, not your shoulders. I bought a Vango 70lt backpack new on eBay for £40 and it is a different league of comfort to carry and it also seems bigger than this, so the capacity claim is way off I think. All that said, it's cheap, you get a lot of stuff in it and I've walked a lot of miles with it full. If you just want something cheap for so short trips or festivals this will be decent. If you want to do plenty of longer distance walks with full camping kit, I'd get something with decent hip support and adjustable shoulder heights. I wouldn't recommend this for things like DofE because your kid would be way more comfortable with a proper pack with good padding on the hips and a solid frame. If I was starting again, I wouldn't have bought this and would just get a Vango Sherpa or similar. A bit more expensive unless you can find a bargain, but absolutely worth the money in my experience.
