They are little pods, no plastic on them at all. **Q: Will these pods work in a starbucks barista espresso machine - i currently use the supremo italiano cafe espresso pods but there is no decaf avail** A: Hello CW. Garzzillo, Unfortunately our pods are not compatible with the Starbucks Barista Espresso Machine. We apologize we can not be your morning cup of coffee. We appreciate your question. Sincerely, Life Made Better **Q: How does this decaf compare in flavor with Illy and Nespresso? Thanks.** A: In a milk based drink the Borbone are good tasting. As a straight espresso shot they are bitter. I tried using different ratios with the Borbone pods and found them not nearly as good as a straight shot of espresso from the Illy branded ESE pods. For reference I’m using the La Piccola, Piccola ESE machine. **Q: How far out of an expiration date can we expect?** A: I have been ordering the pods for years both DEK and regular. We consume one 150 box in 4-6 weeks. In that time DEK has varied from one month to three expiration. Whereas regular had more time. We store the coffee in a cool dark pantry and have no complaints about the flavor. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Espresso coffee pods *by A***A on September 7, 2026* The coffee flavor is superb!!
