It's he equivalent to cartridge paper. However in the spirit of adventure you cold always back it with cardboard, then experiment - there is no right or wrong, it's whether it achieves the result you want, **Q: Someone has used this paper instead of Bristol paper for ink pens?** A: I cant really give a useful answer as I only use charcoal **Q: Is this suitable for chalk pastels? It’s for interior design sketching, so doesn’t need to be great! Maybe you could get away with hard pastels or coloured pencils. Usually for pastel work the paper need what they call tooth to trap the particles, but that may not be consistent with architectural or interiors designs.I traded as an architect ! **Q: Would this be good for smudging oil pastels** A: Hello, I would say that this paper would not be heavy enough. I would suggest 300gsm. It is smooth as opposed to course but still a thick good quality albeit less than coarse cartridge paper, so it's great for colouring pencils and sketching. The pages are easily torn out, colours and shading glide on smoothly. Overall a great product and good value for anyone who likes to sketch or colour.
