I have read that red light therapy may help and thought I would give this a shot. I have only had this for over 3 months, but in that time, I have "felt" canker sores coming on and have used this on them and I can say it has been a game changer. They may only last a couple days now, and they never get painful. There is no specific protocol I have used, other than I will use the red light for like one to two minutes every couple of hours or whenever I have a chance to. I don't think you need one with the skinny attachment, I just put the whole end in my mouth and direct it to the spot. I will warn you that this little dude is very bright, so be careful not to look at it. But if you suffer from Canker sores, this is worth the try.
