It is advisable to open the case from the top or the bottom instead. The automatic sleep/wake (SleepCover) function works with this case if you have it enabled in your reader settings. The only issue I’ve ran into is if you don’t have SleepCover enabled, it will block the reader from automatically going to sleep if the cover is closed. If the cover is open, the reader will go to sleep as it should.
