1-1/4" Diameter Permanent Safety Grab Bars by AmeriLuck are heavy-duty for commercial and residential use. They are are rustproof for indoor and outdoor use. They are balance assistant for people when standing, sitting and moving can be difficult. In the bathroom, on the shower wall , next to the toilet, the clawfoot bathtub, the bed, the couch or the swimming pool, a kitchen table or a desk, or by steps and stairs, or in the attic or the basement - a quality grab bar can assist movement and help prevent falls. Grab bars help maintain independence for seniors, toddlers, handicapped, pregnant or post-surgery. They stand up to intensive usage in high-traffic hotels, hospitals, pubic washrooms, and college dormitories. These safety bars are ADA compliant for a 500-pound weight support and an easily accessible grip. There’s no institutional feel (hospital or nursing house) of many safety bars while providing a solid, secure grip and ADA compliant safety rail. Stainless steel screws (#10 x 2”) are included for stud mounting, and Togglers or WingIt brand mounting kits are recommended when wood or metal studs are not available. Consult with a qualified contractor to ensure you have sufficient backing. NOTE: Mount the grab bar to a secured surface. The manufacturer will not accept responsibility for any and all damage caused by the lack of wall strength or improper installation. I selected these due to the number of holes and options that they allows for easy installation between tiles without damaging the tiles. Other options have limited holes and this limits the installation position and options. The cover fits very well over the screw template. Excellent item to add safety to the shower.
