Light Powerful and Worth Every Penny
I have used the same small rotary tool for 20 plus years an have always thought the main operated Dremel was a bit big and heavy and even the 12volt battery version was not ideal for the way I use it.I’d been driving my family mad talking about my ailing rotary tool so they chipped in for my birthday and bought me this 7:4 volt version. It’s so good. its very high quality, It fits in the hand nicely, it’s got enough power to suit my needs, and allows for precision work... the battery lasts ages under fair usage I have the charging cradle over the bench and it’s always on charge or being used the only time I ran it out was cutting a huge thick plastic flower pot off. cutting wheel and soft plastic suck ampsThe speed selections are just right and I like the led lights showing charge status and speed... I’m also very happy with the tools that came with the Dremel the quick click cutting tool is brilliant and the sanding drums last much longer than the cheaper brandsOnly minor gripe is they have put the on/off switch next to the shaft lock button (need to take more care when switching off)...I have always bought Dremel tungsten carbon tools as they are the only ones that last I have added a quick release drum sanding attachment and a drill chuck to my collection... I use mine primarily for modelling and fabricating but I had a issue with screws point poking though a fence panel in the garden just grabbed the lithium Dremel and a stone attachment job was done... I’ve always called my rotary tool a Dremel, I don’t know how I’ve managed so long with out a genuine Dremel

Light weight, Easy to use, Does what it says
I did make a mistake buying this model as I did want to use it with the Dremel Workstation (Drill Press). But found this model is not compatible with it. So beware this one is not for the Dremel Workstation (Drill Press). However, I've kept the Dremel and used it with the Dremel Drill Chuick and small Drill bits.It worked a treat. I used it to drill through a electrical gang box blanking plate. Baring in mind that it hard brittle plastic this went through without doing any damage. How cool! Shame its a bit wonky but hey its home made stuff :-)The white LEDS are very useful enabling you to see what you are drilling.Charging took a while (3hrs) but so do all high capacity lipo batteries so I had no problem with that.Very pleased with the product overall even if it was not what I originally wanted.I did find on the net a printable 3d part that may be able to adapt this Dremel for the drill press, so maybe in the future I'll either print a part or just invest in a Dremel thats compatible.

FANTASTIC is the best way to describe it! I use it on my dogs' nails.
Really great, in fact I don't know how I lived without it for so long! It makes my job so much easier. I have 9 dogs and I trim their nails regularly. This Dremel is a dream to have, can be used anywhere, no need to worry about the cable and a perfect speed for nail filing (I set it on the one before last setting). When not in use it sits on a charger ready for when I need it again. I am really pleased with this Dremel. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent for what it does
Extremely handy for polishing small items. I use it with a block of brown polishing compound for guitar frets and can easily do the entire fretboard on one charge. It’s a nice compact size which enables accurate polishing and cutting. The downside is it is more limited regarding attachments than it’s big brother, but it is perfect for what it is intended.

Excellent for dog nail trims
I bought this to keep my dog’s nails short. She is a rescue and her nails needed to be trimmed and the quicks encouraged to recede as they had become too long over time. You can only do this with a dremel type product, not with clippers. I was told this model was the most suitable for the task and I have to agree; it is brilliant. Noise is minimal and one charge lasts for a few nail trims. It’s important to introduce the tool to your dog gradually and in conjunction with treats so they look forward to seeing it rather than feeling fearful. I recommend using the soft brush attachment on your dog’s nails for the first week before progressing to the actual sanding attachment.

I’m happy with it ...
A girl friendly power tool that isn’t pink.I originally bought the Dremel 4000 (with the flexishaft) but as soon as I opened the box I was overwhelmed! - it was huge and intimidating and weighed a ton. This one is perfect ... still a tad heavier than I’d like but I know that can’t be helped.I love the ease of the variable speed control and on the lowest settings it’s quieter than an electric toothbrush. The storage pouch is ... dare I say ... ‘cute’!.The charging unit is well thought out too ...it has 4 little holders on top where you can store your most used bits. All in all I’m happy ... I can do a bit of indoor or outdoor D.I.Y as well as my hobbies

Very well made and professional piece of kit. Wife also uses it for craft work
Perfect and well made. The only thing I would change would be to have the variable speed accessible when you're holding the drill in drilling position. Instead you have to effectively stop drilling, change speed then start drilling again. But this is minor and I'm sure I'll get used to it very quickly.I bought this for my wife for her journal / scrap book making. She often needs to drill holes in little trinkets to hang as embellishments from the journal. But this is really professional piece of kit and I will be using it for more substantial jobs too. I tried out the mini disk cutter the other day on a stone tile. I sliced through it like butter.
