Belt Drive Motor 1/2 HP 1725 RPM 115 Volts 8.3 Amps

Quiet for a homemade fan.

I bought this to replace my old belted shop fan motor and it was pretty much a direct replacement, so I was happy with that, it worked great the day I installed it, Friday, for a straight 6 hours! Was pretty happy. Took weekend off, came back on the following Monday, turn on the fan, all I hear is a loud whining!! Barely any movement! I check the wires, all good, turn on again, same thing! I wasn't on for more than about 15 seconds, and the motor was so hot, I had to let it cool down for 15 minutes before touching it again and boxing it back up to return it!First time I buy from here and this brand, I won't buy this again! Very disappointed!I had even mad a nice video review of the replacement work I did, wiring it up and how great it worked right after installing it, I was going to post this and put a 5 start review! Didn't get a chance that day... glad I didn't, I'd have to remove it now!!

calling this a 56 frame flange is really wrong - it's only slotted for 48. then the ends of slot are widened to fit 56, if your 56 holes are perfectly setup, AND you never need to slide the motor to adjust it.probably fine if you're mounting it to an adjustable 56 base. absolutely not fine if you're mounting it to a fixed mount.

The motor started off great with no issues (used it for an attic fan)1 month into it - it stopped working - making a very loud noise.Missed the return window by just a few days. Very unfortunate.

The motor got locked up after an hour of operation , this product is not worth the time and money ,just pay a bit more get better brand!

Fit perfect on my wood burner like it was made for it and so smooth running.Great buy ,would buy from seller again when needed.

Perfect replacement for failed lathe motor!
