Syma RC Drone with Camera Toys

I'm actually pretty surprised by the X5UW. The way it was designed makes it easy to fly on windy days. It's also very light, so if you need to catch it by hand you can do that without worrying to much. The bright blue color is also good for visibility when flying in low visibility like fog. The healthy assortment of included accessories were a nice touch. Over all this is a nice drone to get your foot into the door of drones!

Delivery was great! Quality doesn't look that durable. Packaging shows a pink model instead of blue so I think my grandson opening it on Christmas morning might be in for a shock. But the item was the powder blue that was shown when I ordered it.

In a nutshell, this is an excellent drone! If you have children, it'd be a great device to learn on, expecially if you intend to use it outdoors. I've used smaller ones for this purpose, but even the slightest amount of wind will throw them into disarray.The device performs as you'd expect it to, remaining relatively stable (assuming it's propertly calibrated) and is very nimble. When the motors are running, it can be a bit loud, though the sound the motors make is pretty cool!The device is built very well, despite the fact that cheap feeling plastic is used as to keep the drone light in weight. It comes equipped with all of the parts you need to get started, as well as replacement blades in the event of a catastrophe. A controller is also included, similar to others by Syma, but slightly larger in size. If you own other Syma controllers, they can also be used to controller this drone. The flight time is as advertised as well.Overall, you absolutely can't go wrong with a drone of this quality for the price.

I've never owned a drone before so I'm very new at all of this. However, IMO this was great. Easy to set up. Instructions were simple and easy to follow and flight was fairly straightforward. I really like the propeller guards as I'm not confident enough in my flying abilities to not crash into things. the controls though are easy to use and with just a little practice got a basic handle on the simple things.The cool thing is, this doesn't feel like a cheap toy. Once you master the simple flying, it's got some power and you can jump into more advanced things. Faster flying, higher, farther etc. I'm sure that much higher priced drones have infinite more bells/whistles and quality. But for the price this works out better than i thought for a perfect intro drone.Only con I would think is the battery life, it runs out pretty fast. I would imagine this is a key feature that drives up price.

For the 90 seconds I owned and used this item, it worked ok. It went up in the air, listed to the left slightly; I increased altitude to avoid a tree it was about to hit and off it went, never to be seen again. This was not on a day I would even call "breezy", let alone "windy".I have flown other quads before and even the 4" mini quads were more powerful than this junk. If you're a beginner, you're better off getting a tiny quad which is actually powerful enough to maintain its position.

The media could not be loaded.  pros: small compact drone size, easy 2 fly, kit includes extra propellers and 2 batteriescons: n/aJust some background, I've owned several electric RCs cars, boat, and helicopter. I also own a HolyStone HS 100. In comparison to all my other RCs, SymaX5UW is impressive drone performance in a tiny package that's affordable. The learning curve to flying is very easy. My girlfriend learned to fly it in about 5 mins. I flew it up vertically to about 50 feet and it had no issues climbing higher. The Syma app works well with Android, you can fly via wifi or with the controller. I wish I could upload the video and share but the clips can't be exported from the Syma app. If you're looking for a drone that won't break the bank then this is a great drone to learn with! It has plenty of options and features!

Overall, the drone is great. Over the holidays, I've had the whole family over and playing with it, messing with the camera, and just having a good time. The build quality is pretty high compared to some others I have owned in the past, the camera works great, and putting it together only takes a few minutes. It comes with everything you need..outside of batteries for the remote control. Even an SD card reader you can plug right into your computers USB slot for easy access to the footage. The only real downside is the battery's life, but honestly its not all that bad considering how well it preforms, and the quick charging times. Well worth the buy

This is a great drone to get more comfortable with a bigger drone. It was fairly easy to set up and get going flying. I have been flying using only the remote which is fine, but you can also use an app on your phone to fly it by connecting to its wifi, but my phone keeps disconnecting and connecting to my home wifi, so its my phone, not the drones fault. For the price point, its a good way to get comfortable flying before moving on to a more professional level camera drone.
