It appears OXO may have addressed the lid that seals in steam too well. Mine, as received at Christmas 2015 did NOT have the supple seal that some prior reviewers have found and removed to improve pouring vs. vacuum that forms inside when pouring. Mine seems to draw just enough outside air upon pouring that I get zero of the "glug glug" described by some prior reviewers. So, I believe things are better in that regard and mine pours without any issue whatever. No burping or spitting or any overshooting. I do let kettle cool for about 10-15 seconds after I kill the gas burner before I try to pour. No problems! Also, I do agree with another viewer who addressed the grayish look on the interior. I am not a metallurgist, but careful observation of interior and experiences with similar stainless projects I've worked on hint at the interior being simply un-brushed native state of the stainless. No coating is present my humble opinion--just unbrushed patina that appears gray. The pitch of this kettle's whistle is pretty high. It is not excessively loud, but will catch your attention in far reaches of house as long as your ears pick up high pitch tones. Works well for our ears. YMMV. Aesthetically, this one really appeals to us. Handle rivets and hinge hardware are very high quality and allow for easy movement of handle to side for filling. Handle authoritatively stays upright when heating the water. I found this kettle's lid to be "just right" in terms of effort to remove and re-install. So many kettles I tested just had awful lid fitment. This one is sweet IMHO. Great kettle! I have utilized the smaller of the gas burners on my stove when heating. I set flame to about 2/3 of full and find it is quick to heat water to point of whistling and, as long as I remember to put handle STRAIGHT UP, the black grip is easy to hold when I remove from heat. The pad on the whistle is a bit smallish so exercise care when approaching it to flip open after heating. I've had no issues--I'm just careful. We tend to always empty the kettle before going to bed and then heating it slightly assuring it is bone dry with lid off. No rusting issue noted after one month's use. Hope this continues to be the case for years to come. Oh, lastly, I did manage to bang kettle against my counter edge and left a minor alteration in the beautiful brushed patina of exterior. I simply took my scotch brite pad side of my sink sponge and "buffed" the patina right back to factory look in about 20 seconds! This kettle will be easy to keep looking sweet!!

笛も極端に大きな音にならないのでびっくりしなくて良いです。もう少し水量が入ってくれたら、何かプラスもう一つができるのにって感じです。ワンアクション毎の湯沸かしって感じで考えれば問題なしです。
