Schwalbe 26" x1.50" City Jet MTB Slick Sport Road Fast Rolling Tyre & Inner Tube Deal x 2 (Presta, 26" x 1.50")

The City Jets have been a worthy replacement for the Specialized Armadillos, as they’re a good deal cheaper and still offer puncture protection, and also are not as fragile (I find the Armadillo tread tends to peel away). They corner a lot better, too.As for the inner tubes: they are the ‘1.5-2.0’ width, which is a heavy and difficult to fit option for narrow road tyres, so if you can get a cheaper option for tyres only, then buy better tubes separately.

They arrived earlier all in good condition. I've only been out on them once, but no complaints and have made the road biking at a lot easier, but I was on MTB tyres previously lol.

These tyres are absolutely superb. I replaced my knobbly off road Tigoa tyres with these on my mountain bike, as I now commute via cycle to work. After fitting these tyres the rolling resistance was substantially reduced to such a degree that they reduced the time it took to make my commute to work by several minutes. The tyres are superb...........However................the inner tubes supplied in this deal are made by Kenda, and are the cheapest nastiest inner tubes I've come across. One of the inner tubes burst at the stem of the valve simply with me pumping up the tyre. Ridiculous.

Excellent fast rolling tyre - VAST improvement in speed for road riding (over Semi Slick MTB/Trail Tyres) BUT - A word of warning - I installed these tyres using presta (Thin) valved tubes thinking these were better for high pressures as used on road bikes. I had previously had shrader valves (as on car tyres). So, when pumped up to the recommended maximum pressure (85 psi) ........BANG!!!!!! The exploded through the valve hole in the rim - obviously (with the benefit of hindsight!) this would be due to the rim being drilled for the wider shrader valves and the pressure in the tube pushing it 'out' through the gap around the narrower valve!!! I guess I was lucky that it wasn't while riding that it exploded! I subsequently installed again with shrader valved tubes and pumped up to 85psi and no problems - Incidently a 'track pump' is really an ESSENTIAL item (Park Tools one is really good) as previously with tyre pumped as hard as aI could with a mini pump it was hardly at 40 psi and the difference in pressure really makes a difference in speed for road riding.

Good Value for money

I wouldn't mind the fact that the beads pretty much require a trip to Kwik Fit to get on and off if it wasn't for the fact that they puncture so ofter through whatever paper thin "armour" they are supposed to have. Just buy something else.

Good strong tyres which are great for general use, reasonably light and seem strong, the inner tubes seem very heavy compared to the ones replaced (60g heaver) but that might be I paid a lot more for lighter tubes many years ago, I don't recall :-( .

I was a bit sceptical that changing tyres from MTB knobbly to road would make that much difference! But after fitting them and doing my first commute this morning. I stand corrected and amazed at the difference. 7 minutes off the time, better average speed and it felt at least 25% easier on my legs. Don't think about it do it change them you won't regret it.

El mejor comentario, no tengo nada que comentar. Todo bien.

Le uso per allenamento in MTB. Passo da gomme da 2.5" a queste da 1.5" con pressioni più alte 4-5 bar.Scorrevolezza superiore e grip sull'asfalto alto occhio a non esagerare.Rispetto alle gomme da sterrato ho registrato 10 km/h in più di velocità massima con GPS sullo stesso tragitto. Danno molta confidenza in piega.

Es scheinen die Originale zu sein. Kann ich nicht exakt beurteilen.Die Schläuche sind zwar nicht ganz Schwalbe Niveau aber reichen völlig hin. Nette Zugabe.Rollt super ab und hat genug Profil für leichten Regen.

Schnelle Lieferung und guter Artikel bei sehr gutem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Gut zu montieren.

Spedizione velocissima, Oggetto arrivato alcuni giorni prima del previsto.Le gomme sono ottime e facili da montare, l'unico punto a sfavore è che la misura della camera d'aria è per gomme più larghe e in fase di montaggio c'è il rischio di pizzicarla.
