Perfect Job
I am strongly disagree with the 1 start review... Perfect product (as described) and it's works perfectly... alot of possibility to use it with your cell phone...Sorry usually i am not a really "review-guy" (this is my first, because it is unfair rating!)I'll try to keep it short....Do you need it? first of all visit obihai webpage and see what can you do in general. Search for: obibtToday is 08.26.12 I got OBi202 OBiBT BT adapter (and I am iPhone 4s owner)Registred OBi202 with my GV account... add some number to "Circle of Trust"... and of cause connect your iPhone with OBiBT BT adapter (actually iPhone paired with OBi202)Now if you add any number to "Circle of Trust" (in our case any US number) you can call to your OBi202, then you can use Bluetooth connected phone and dial any number basically from your cell phone.Perfect for any dirty cheap international calling...All you need - just add a different sim to your phone... you can dial your OBi202, OBi202 will connect you to your phone, and you cell phone will dial any other phone number!Yes it is a little tricky - you have to understand concept of "Circle of Trust", plus you need to dial manually **8-any-phone-number to get access to your cellphone. Not sure, it may be done automatically - i am a new user... but it works!5 test calls, all 5 calls went perfectly.5 Star.... little tricky but $100.00 or less and you can dial any cellphone in the world and pay only domestic calling rate!

Bluetooth requires Internet connection!!!
To initially set up this bluetooth, I am required to click "Connect" multiple times on my cell phone, until it successfully connects. This issue is present with every phone I tried, including some phones where it only connects if I unpair, and then dial *28 WHILE the phone is searching for a bluetooth signal. Once connected, the bluetooth connection stays very stable. This product works as described. I gave it two stars because for this bluetooth to work, an internet connection is REQUIRED!!!If I have an internet connection, I can dial a telephone number on my landline phone, which goes to Obi device, which goes to Bluetooth, which goes to my cell phone and have a conversation. Without an internet connection, you will not be able to connect a landline telephone to the cellphone. In other words, your call will not go through. I don't understand why an internet connection is required to call through bluetooth, but it is required. When you try to dial a telephone number on the landline, you will hear the following message: Network status IP address not available...-1 star, because: unless you have a 5Ghz router, your Bluetooth signal will be in the same frequency range, and therefore interfere with your WiFi signal. When packets get lost on wifi, the router detects this, and just sends the packets again; so you do not see the loss on your end. However, when packets get lost on the telephone, there is no error-correction mechanism; as a result, the sound quality of the resulting conversation is very poor; depending on the distance from the bluetooth device and from the wifi router, the conversation is very choppy, pretty often there are clusters of tens of up-to-one-second gaps in hearing the other person. Getting a dual-band router solved this problem.

Great adapter. Paired well with bluetooth headset.
Update:July 10, 2016--Removing a star. I had to unpair my Jabra headset to use elsewhere, and now it won't pair at all. I have rebooted the phone, I have disconnected and reconnected the headset and even removed and reinstalled the USB dongle. To no avail. So, as of now, the adaptor does not work. I am keeping this at two stars because it worked well at first. Hopefully, I will be able to reconnect my bluetooth headset and begin using it again soon.I bought the ObIHAI desk phone last fall to upgrade my business phone system. Virtually all my work is phone based, making somewhere between 20-50 outbound calls per day. Using a headset really helps at work and I didn't want to invest in another headset as I have used the Jabra Biz 2400 for over a year and am very pleased with it's performance. After reading the reviews and seeing some of the confusion over whether this adapter works for bluetooth headsets, I was hesitant, but finally took the plunge. Here are my reactions after having used the adapter for a couple of days.-Pairing with my bluetooth headset was not difficult to accomplish. Went to settings, enabled bluetooth, enabled pairing and then scanned for the headset. Headset was discovered and connected seamlessly.-Sound is really good. Not very much difference between handset and headset.-There is a bit of latency when dialing out. What I mean by that is when using the headset, and you press the speakerphone button and begin dialing, it takes a second for the dial tone to be heard in the headset. At first it threw me off but I got used to it quickly and it has no impact on dialing. If you just punch in the phone number and hit dial the screen will show that the phone is dialing for a second before you hear the other line ringing in the headset. Once connected, there is no latency in the conversation with the other party.I have not used the adapter to connect via bluetooth to a cell phone, but for those using the adapter with a bluetooth headset, I think this is a pretty good option and seems to be working very well for me.
