Review: Works as described, an excellent product - Very easy to install, including the drivers from the enclosed mini CD. Instructions are clear and simple. I am using it on a Win 10 tower desktop PC, connected to a USB 2 port. I do not have a Wireless card installed. I needed to have WiFi as the Powerline ethernet connection was only giving me half the speed, approx. 35Mbps. With this WiFi USB dongle I now reach 70Mbps download speed, the same as on my iPad. My problem very easily solved and I am very pleased.
Review: Better than Belkin - I've used Belkin on and off for years and I've had a few failures with different hardware. So this time I thought I'd try something different, and I'm glad I did. The BrosTrend 1200Mbps USB WiFi Network Adaptor works like a charm and keeps a constant signal between my PC and my router when all the ones I've had before have needed pulled out and plugged back in to get Windows to see them (randomly) until they fail. Not once have I had to do that with this model. It's not going to magically make my PC faster (given that my internet speeds are average at best), but it hasn't had any negative effects whatsoever. No fails is a win! :) As with anything you buy, read the manual, don't expect miracles and just enjoy hassle free wireless - as it should be.

**Q: What is the top speed for 2.4hz and 5.0hz on N networks?**
A: Hi,It supports working with 5GHz wifi or 2.4GHz wifi network as below:1. In case your wifi router or wifi network is of the latest AC WiFi standard, you can get 867Mbps on 5GHz wifi band or 300Mbps on 2.4GHz wifi band;2. In case your wifi router or wifi network is of the previous Wireless-N standard with dual band, you can get 300Mbps on 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi band.3. In case your wifi router or wifi network is of the previous Wireless-N standard with single band of 2.4GHz, you can get 300Mbps on 2.4GHz.Please kindly note that the above speed are the speed in theory, the actual speed may differ in your actual physical environment. The thick walls with metal, range, working microwave oven may affect the wifi performance. Actually, in case you are using dual band wifi, you could kindly note the below:5GHz wifi band is really good in high speed while it is not good at long range transmission or penetrating walls.2.4GHz wifi band works better than 5GHz in long range transmission and penetrating walls, while 2.4GHz wifi is not as good as 5GHz wifi band in short distance high speed. You could take advantage of this feature of the 5GHz and 2.4GHz wifi network to have optimal performance for your wifi network. This BrosTrend AC1 dual band USB wifi band adapter supports both wifi bands as mentioned above, you could click to shift between the 5GHz and 2.4GHz wifi network to optimize your wifi network performance. **Q: I need a wireless adapter for use with my dish satellite service to order and download pay for view movies. will this work?**
A: Hey, this BrosTrend AC1 does NOT work with Satellite Box, Xbox, Playstation, TV, Android Box, Media player, or Blu-Ray Player. It works with laptop or desktop of Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP and MAC OS X 10.6~10.10 and Linux Mint and Linux Ubuntu. Thanks for your kind attention!Best Regards,Simon from BrosTrend Technical Support Team

**Q: How is it when loading 4K videos?**
A: Hi,Thanks for your kind attention.Yes, this dual band wifi adapter can transfer 4K videos well. Please make sure that your Internet services provider offer fast enough Internet connection speed for you. This wifi adapter can establish wifi connection between your computer and your wireless router with maximum speed of 867Mbps on 5GHz wifi band and 300Mbps speed on 2.4GHz wifi band. In case you are not that far away from the wireless router, we suggest using the 5GHz wifi band when you play 4K videos; If you are far away from it, then you should try with 2.4GHz wifi band.As you can get much faster speed on 5GHz wifi band and 5GHz wifi band is more clear then 2.4GHz.While 2.4GHz wifi is stronger in penetrating walls in long range transmission, though its speed is not as fast as 5GHz wifi band.Hope that this answer your question. In case you need other assistance in using this wifi adapter, please kindly send us email at support@trend-tech.net.cnHave a nice weekend for you!Allen from BrosTrend Technical Support Team

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Slightly confusing but worked out easy
*by J***M on 6 June 2022*

Not a plug and play device. This comes with an installation cd but I don't have a cd drive so I went to the website. The instructions included with the product aren't great, consisting of "Go to website, get driver, install driver" where the website has rather a lot of stuff there, the drivers are not front and centre and the instructions for the driver resulted in a "This product is not compatible with your OS" message. Not great at all. However, upon being told it didn't work, I turned on Wi-fi and... you guessed it, it worked. So pretty quick to set-up but not a fun process at all really. The product works as advertised, admittedly I'm only about 3 feet away from my router (I bought this to make the PC more portable) but I can't tell the difference between wired and unwired now. If they put better/accurate driver instructions in the box/on the website (front and centre please) to make it a more pleasant experience, I'd give this 5 stars.
