Honestly, no problems with mold.
I started using this around the beginning of October, 2018. I stored handwritten paper documents inside of it, as well as CD-Rs, DVD-Rs, and Blu-Ray-Rs.. I placed the optical discs in plastic; the handwritten papers were just left there, unprotected. (They're bright-orange construction paper, written on in Sharpie.)Last I checked, as of this review, September 6th, 2020, there was no mold on any of the papers. I don't know why all the reviews said this was a problem. I did NOT air the box out every two weeks, and the box was in a high-humidity location, with tons of mold. Still, no mold. It's astounding. I probably opened this box all of four times; a max of six, over the past nearly-two years. One paper was kept on-top, loose. I wanted to see if the mold got it. It did not.The other papers were kept in two separate manilla folders: one with about 50 pages, the other with around 14-20. No mold.As always, please follow the manufacturer's instructions on airing the thing out. But, the one I got? It's great. It's been great. I love it.I should note that the box did come with a strange smell, that I thought was kinda moldy. But that seems to have gone away; completely eaten up by Sharpie 'aroma'.

Good medium size box
It’s a good size and fits everything we need. It is very heavy though and a handle would have been nice to have.

Good item - moisture inside - strange
I read in reviews and the product description about the moisture content in the safe and how the manufacturer recommends airing it out. My mom owns the same safe and has not had any issues with this (we are in the same house) but mine does need to be aired out every once in a while. I had unsealed envelopes that sealed themselves while in the safe which I think is odd. I kept the silica packet that the safe comes with and that seems to help a bit. Other than that the safe works great and seems very secure.

Wish it was just a little bit larger
Sturdy safe, with good depth to hold contents. Haven't tested how fireproof it is, and will hopefully have no reason to do so.My only issue is that the inner dimensions are just slightly too small. Inside, it is 8.5" X 11", which would seem to be perfect. However, the instructions say to keep papers contained in plastic bags to protect them from humidity. This adds the slightest bit of size, which means that the papers won't be able to lie flat when they are stacked. If it was 9" X 11.5", this would be perfect.

Good so far
I have read reviews which were critical of this item but gave it a shot. So far, I have found it excellent and haven't noticed any issues as far as condensation (though that is perhaps a good sign as it means that it is really well sealed). It has a sturdy catch and I use it to protect passports, credit cards, important documents just in case of a fire. Great to put into a closet but certainly it could be easily stolen as it isn't that heavy. I keep it flat and it is mostly for safety purposes for the most important stuff in case of fire/flood.

Good product and reasonable priced
The only thing that could make the product better if it had a handle on the case. Very dstisfied

High quality, good but tight fit
It's a good safe, although it is *exactly* for letter size paper. If you have papers in a folder or envelope, then the only way to fit it in is to have them curled. I bought this rather than the next size up because it said it had a carry handle - it doesn't. So, while it would serve its purpose for holding things like passports and small items, I'm going to purchase the next size up so I have something practical for documents.

Does the job
Finally organizing my life, fits my 8x10 docs, Colt 1911a and still closes well. I agree that a handle would be helpful. Heavy, but hey, I won't move it much I guess... and do yourself a favor, don't put it by your desk or counter if you have sneaky little dogs. I left mine next to my kitchen counter (my makeshift office) and sneaky chiweenie used it and my Amazon purchased counter-height stool to hop up onto kitchen counter & help himself to breakfast. ;p
