Did the job
Used to mask a split on a gas fire coal bed. Did the trick. Drying times were way quicker than stated but have left the fire before lighting as there is no point in rushing the job.

Brilliant
I've used Hotspot coal spray before, and it's great. I take off all the coals and take them outside to start spraying. Make sure to shake the can often as it will drip otherwise. I also spray the back of the fire, as it does discolour over time, and that looks good too. Would recommend Hotspot to rejuvenate your gas fire coals.

.
This product was ok ,but turned up with smashed lid ,and when started to spray coals it leaked all over Think it was down to carrier and not to down to the manufacturer.

Does the job very well.
Didn't expect much from this product but I'm pleasantly surprised, it's worked very well at tidying up my gas fire place. Nice one. 👍🙂

Worth a try before renewing your coals
The product size is similar to a large can of hairspray. My fire is a valor baxi with 5 individual removable coals and 2 removable fixed bars of coals. Over the years they became a mixture of brown and chalky white and looked terrible.I sprayed all removable parts with 2 coats with a few hours between each coat.( I also sprayed the back plate). There was still a little left in the can. The colour came out a shiny very dark grey and looked 100% better. On first use, a couple of days later the back coals and back plate went somewhat patchy with a much lighter silvery colour where the flames had been, but still looked much better than before. I guess you could call it ok for a temporary fix.

Convincing colour
I thought I might have to replace our old coals from our gas fire as they were looking a pale. This product has completely rejuvinated them - they look brand new. The colour and texture is exactly right for coal - almost completely matt. The whole tin has painted 19 coals with a tiny bit left over.
