Bought it as a novelty prop for a DnD campaign. I don't/didn't play the ukulele beforehand, I don't have a fantastic understanding of ukulele's, so anything I say musically is based on my experience with other instruments. It's comfortable to play, lightweight and doesn't feel like a cheap piece of tat that will break in 5 minutes. There's a nice sound to it, something I'm always weary of with cheaper instruments, especially those with carved designs. Machine heads are sturdy enough and there's a pair of strap knuts to 'strap on', something I've not seen on a Ukulele before (which isn't saying much, I know).I've found it does need tuning fairly regularly compared to other stringed instruments I actually play, regardless of how much I've stretched out the strings. Possibly it came with a set of cheap strings? Maybe this is just a 'thing' you get with ukulele's? Maybe that is a fault with this particular ukulele? Again, I'm not overly familiar with the instrument so I can't be sure.In terms of design? It's a pretty instrument, even nicer in person than in the picture. This is initially why I bought it (again, since it was a prop for DnD) so it's fit for purpose in that regard. I've at least learned the basics of ukulele since buying it, so points for getting me into something new.

On unboxing this ukelele I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, finish and detail. The sapelle body has a distinctive and attractive grain, close to mahagony but less dense; the instrument is light but has a balanced feel. The floral motif soundholes are cut well and look good. The neck is straight and the action is just right, straight out of the box - no need for adjustment. Furthermore the bone nut and saddle - usually found on more expensive ukeleles - are a bonus in terms of producing better sound projection when strumming. The tuners are solid and pretty good in terms of keeping the instrument in tune, although I will be investing in an Aquila set of strings. The ukelele stays in tune fairly well, but do allow for a bit of settling down due to changes in temperature, humidity, etc. Sound-wise it is very good indeed! This is a great buy, especially for the beginner, and you won't get a better bargain for under £30.

Damaged machine head.
On arrival i noticed 1 of the machine heads was slipping. This was due to a faulty screw. I managed to fix it quite easily though. The uku its self has a lovely sound and action making it easy to play. Fantastic value for money

Great instrument and great value
Love this wee instrument. It was a present from my husband at Christmas. Had looked at, possibly hundreds, and this was very reasonably priced, very pretty, and had lots of good reviews. Very happy with it 😊

Not for me
Looks nice and came well packaged but does not hold its tune you have to retune every time you play my guitar I can go a good 4 weeks or so with out having to fully retune so was quite disappointed at the tuning on ukulele sounds more of amature sound quality then a professional one but I gess you get what u pay for unfortunately I throw the box away so can only be used as an ornament in my music room will do more research in the future I think this one's not for me
