The water butt, lid and stand are all made from recycled plastic. The tap is compatable with all systems such as Hozelock and Gardena. Ideal for the capture of rainwater for watering, washing of cars and even aquariums. Child safe lid. The rain diverter fits 68mm round and 65mm square downpipes, the UK standards. Review: Great Product, Poor Delivery Process - Wanted something nicer than the bog standard green or black box. Already have a 100l water butt which isn't enough for the hotter weather we are getting. This seemed to fit the bill both from a storage and looks point of view. Very sturdy and well made. No leaking so far. The hardest part of fitting was the tap. You ideally need arms like Stretch Armstrong and 2 people. I had neither of those so I used parcel tape to secure the tap in position, lay the butt down and crawled inside to tighten the fitting. The base helps with sturdiness as it is in one piece rather than some with multiple pieces. The edges can be quite sharp so I advise gloves when manoeuvring it into place. Filled up really quickly given the recent rain so it's all looking good. The delivery - ordered 9th May with delivery by 8pm 12th May. Wasn't sure it would fit through the gate so I waited in all day which was a complete waste of time. No tracking info given, no courier name given in order to track with the, apparently, made up, tracking number on the order. desertcart were telling me it would be delivered, just message the seller, it is in transit and probably stuck in traffic. Messaged the seller - response expected within 48 hrs. What is going on? Next day, message from seller that there has been a delay and delivery expected by 15th May. Now, apparently "by 15th" means "on 15th" to them as they seem to use an unknown version of the english language. So, if you want this quickly, buy it in a local DIY or garden centre. It's roughly the same price and, assuming you have transport, you get it when you want/need it. Review: Great Butts of Our Time! - This is an excellent product! The lid is easy to remove but secure enough to stay on when the wind gets up. The stand is one piece (some have to be assembled) and is quite stable. The inlet/outlet holes are pre-drilled, and it also comes with a downpipe diverter kit that is easy to set up. The tap and inlet seals etc all work well and don't leak, although I did take the precaution of wrapping a little PTFE tape round the tap thread (clockwise) before installing the tap. Don't be frightened to go for a Big Butt, our 200 ltr butt fills up completely in two days of heavy showers with the water feeding in from just one side of a garage roof; in a dry spell you will use 200 litres in 3 or 4 days easily if you have a lot of patio pots. One small quibble: if you can't site the butt immediately next to the downpipe you will need a longer piece of connecting hose than that which is supplied with the diverter kit. However, a longer piece is easily obtainable from a garden or aquatic centre as they usually stock a range of hose for garden ponds. It is strong, sturdy plastic with a well fitting lid. The hole for the tap had been made a little 'off' and so at first fitting this leaked, but my husband took it apart and sealed it with silicone and it now seems to be OK.
