WHAT HAPPENED TO MALCO MODES?
I've purchased eleven Malco Modes slips and petticoats over the years, and loved every single one of them, no matter how much they cost. I needed a new black slip and a new white slip so I bought these, and naturally assumed these would be the same as the other chiffon slips I have from Malco Modes. The material in these is nothing even similar to what I purchased just two years ago. It is not chiffon, it is not soft nor luxurious, as my other Malco Modes slips are. It is stiff and scratchy, feels like a "made in china" cheapy, with a horrendously sewn seam, with scratchy edges, sewn right across the buttocks. The white one appeared to have been worn by some one else before it was sent to me. Yuck, although I understand why the person before sent it back.I knew the minute I opened the package these were not of the same quality as those purchased previously. I feel heartbroken and strangely betrayed that a previously trusted brand has gone cheap & crappy. They did.

Size guide didn't match garment, and not worth $50.
I used the size chart w/ the waist measurement as my guide, and went to a size slightly over that number to be safe (a large). Still, it was too tight to breath. The elastic around the waist is adjustable - has a button and button holes under the fabric - but it was on the largest setting. I feel like I got a medium, or small, even though it was labeled as a large - or people think it should feel uber tight? My waist is smaller than the measurements given. Anyway, I bought all new elastic and will be redoing the waist band. There's plenty of fabric for a larger size. It'll work, but I shouldn't have to do that for this high price. (Seems far too much $ for the quality. It's fine, but more like a $25 crinoline, not $50.)*This review was hidden by Amazon due to sensitivity issues!? I looked for anything that was inappropriate, and found nothing. My review stands. It's my opinion of the product based on my experience. I wonder if the seller flagged it? Not cool.

Great chiffon crinoline. Stretchy but tiny waist. Excellent value for the price !
This is a well made chiffon crinoline. It is truly a crinoline in that it is somewhat stiff to give fullness and not get compressed by a heavy skirt over it. I have some very soft chiffon petticoats that are crushed by a wool skirt.I replaced the waist band with a longer buttonhole elastic. The waistband it comes with is very stretchy but it did squeeze my waist in an unflattering way. When I tried wearing it down on my hips it looked fine but was too long for some of my dresses. My waist is 26 inches. I purchased a small which is for a 23- 42 inch waist. I was concerned that if I went to a medium there would be more gathered fabric than I want. It's very easy to switch out the elastic, so don't let the tight waist keep you from buying a Malco Modes crinoline. Keep in mind the length range too. I bought this to go with dresses that are at or just below the knee and not tea length. The Zoe crinoline was too short for me. Because the length is adjustable, I can have "tea length" crinoline that can be adjusted to wear with just above the knee to upper calf on a single purchase; very good value !

Great petticoat, soft & Just full enough
Beautiful red color & very soft -- Just full enough to add good flounce/swish to a dress. I'm 5'2" & ordered the large -- it rests at my ankles. Just right for formal length. I am 77 & this is a great item. Glad there is no crinklin/net.I first purchased the ivory @ 23" length & this red is 30" -- now I have ordered the fuller version @ 28" in black. Yes, a big splurge on my part but wanted to be sure & get what I wanted.

So glad I bought this crinoline!
This beautiful, well-made crinoline slip is just perfect for wearing under my full-skirted dresses. It makes me feel so feminine to have that extra swish when I walk and know both that my dress will not be see-through in the sun and there is a flirty little bit of lace that peeks out when I sit.If you are looking for a crinoline slip that will last and make you feel great, I highly recommend this one.

Great quality and so soft!
I love the quality of this slip and how soft and silky it feels. It can be adjusted for length at the waist simply by feeding the elastic through one of the other casings, and this is so easy to do, I wonder why other brands don't have this. An excellent purchase for a product I will enjoy for many years-- lots of bounce with just the right fullness makes it perfect. I mentioned that it was somewhat small at the waist. I remedied this simply by moving the button a quarter of an inch back on the elastic selvage. It fits great now.

Buying more in the future!!!
I honestly wasn't too keen buying a petticoat that was $50 but after receiving it I am soooo happy I did! It fits perfectly on me, it's super soft, and looks stunning! It works with my dresses perfectly!! So happy I bought this and I will definitely buy again!!

Petticoat 4 Dancing!
I purchased a new dress with a full skirt that needed a petticoat for dance flare and fun! This petticoat is not too full like some with many layers that make your skirt stand out but it is 1 layer and looked nice when just standing. When I twirled in our dances the petticoat added pretty lace and fun to the full skirt. I received many complements on how pretty the petticoat was. Dancing is fun and this black petticoat I can wear with several outfits and adds fun to twirling while dancing!
