Took an age to pump up, it has a tiny air hole to fill it and for the first 15 minutes I was convinced it had a leak (hence only 4 stars), once up it does what does well.Slight rubbery smell, but left out in the garden to the elements for a week which has sorted that out.Feels fairly sturdy and robust. Ideal size for a single adult who likes to sprawl, it bit small for two unless you really like to be cozy.

Over the many years i have been going to festivals i have used all kinds of airbeds from cheap supermarket ones to expensive self inflating ones but this by far is the most comfortable airbed i have ever used at festivals. Although there was a bit of air loss due to the stretching of the heavy duty rubber these things are made of i felt no need at all to put more in during the four days at the festival. It was nice and insulating from the cold floor of the tent and we had no roll together at all.The only way i think could make this better would be to put in a valve that had a screw cap like on a car wheel rather than the plug in stopper like you find on kids inflatable swimming arm band things. Still though it did the job and i expect it to last years.Peace

At last! A comfortable and robust mattress. We have gone through 3 of the flock/plastic mattresses in the past 6 years since our old rubberised mattress died after 10 plus years. While they have been comfortable initially, they have punctured frequently despite the greatest care being taken, resulting in many nights blowing up the mattress in the dark, and many mornings spent hunting for punctures...not the way I like to spend my days on holiday! This new mattress was a more comfortable design then the old rubber one, having smaller air compartments, rather than long tubes of air. It was also reassuringly strong, and remained as firm and full of air on the last day of the trip as the day we blew it up. I shall now replace all the single mattresses we have with the single versions of this one ready for next year's trip.

I was looking for a canvas airbed as the modern rubbery ones hardly last. This had so far been great and will hopefully stand the test of time. It is also much firmer and more comfortable to sleep on than a cheap airbed and doesn't deflate halfway through the night!

Better than the other big name brands of airbeds that start going flat after the first night leaving you wrapped in a blanket of PVC when you wake up!Although not as high these are much tougher and use an internal rubber bag with a durable cotton canvas cover - a word of caution though the rubber has been treated internally with a dusting of a chalk like powder - so don't put up in the lounge and then deflate on top of the brand new carpet only to have said white powder blow all over new carpet - leading to an ear bashing from the wife! :(

Not as thick as the "old fashioned" type, but a lot better than the vinyl type. Stayed up over night and quite comfortable.

This air bed does not stay inflated overnight and had to have more air pumped in it every night.It was only used as an extra comfort layer in a camper van, so was not in contact with any sharp objects that could have caused a puncture as suggested when a return request was sent. There is no puncture. I have had much cheaper air beds in the past that I have had no problem with even for camping. The bung never seemed to be very tight, I would not recommend this item .

Best airbed ever had !! No movement when someone turns over and no roll together. Comfortable to sleep on and really sturdy. Well made ,have bought several cheaper airbeds before which don't last this is well worth the money. Went camping for a week it never went down or needed topping up once .
