Lewis - Series 1-8 [DVD] [2014]

If you liked Morse, you'll enjoy this as well. Great stories, well acted in fine surroundings. The box set came packaged well, and provided me with loads of quality entertainment. Great value for money!

I saw some of the earlier Lewis episodes on telly, but none after series 3 so I purchased this box set to watch the entire series from start to finish. I was not disappointed, each episode is British drama at its best and Kevin Whatley really expands on the Lewis character we all loved in Morse. I highly recommend this set and pick up series 9 separately whilst you are at it. The last of a wonderful series which I will treasure and watch again in the future.

Entertaining detective series set in the streets and surroundings of Oxford (although it's very selective Oxford scenery, for those who know the city!) This series is a bit lighter than the original Morse and Endeavor, despite the constant appearance of dead bodies. With Morse you always knew that the poor chap wasn't going to find happiness, and you don't feel that's the case with Lewis.

This box set was such a good buy, we already owned 1-4 on DVD but it worked out cheaper to get this. The show is a modern day Morse, with an exceptional cast of great British actors based in a beautiful Oxford setting. This is a shoe you can sit down and binge watch easily.

Very good value. High production values. Complex plots. Lewis & Hathaway excellent acting. Unlike another reviewer I found widescreen picture and audio flawless. Also has subtitles.

Bough as a present for my mum (and secretly myself). I love this series and anyone who enjoys the Inspector Morse Series will love this as well. A bit of humour as well, which makes it a pleasure to watch.
