If you want the 5 1/2" then you have to order that one. **Q: Who carries the 2 1/2 × 12 1/2 inch ruler?** A: I got one at JoAnns. **Q: Does this ruler have a lip on edge** A: No it does not. It flat on both sides. **Q: Is this grid clear?** A: It is not very clear to me because the green does interfere with my attempts to line up. I just focus on black grid lines. My other one this size has black and red markings and is very smooth both sides. This one has slightly raised markings so helps "grip" the fabric more. The colour of the fabric usually determines which one I use.
