Mellif Cordless Transfer Pump Compatible with Makita 18V Battery (Tool Only), Portable Self-priming, Electric Utility Water Pump for Garden, Hot Tub, Tank, Pool, Ponds, Aquariums

I bought it to pump and flush my hot water tank with and it performed flawlessly. I removed the cheap plastic drain valve on my water tank and installed a high quality full open port drain valve, and between that and this pump wow what a huge difference. Now I can flush my water tank better (sediment comes out much easier because of the higher flow) and also much faster. The bucket method took me almost an hour to drain my 40gal tank whereas now it only takes 5-7mins if that. This pump is well worth the $70 price and I love how it is a cordless battery operated pump too. I use 1 of my 20v Dewalt batteries on it. The pump also has a light on it that you can turn on or off as you wish as well. It also feels like it has a good quality build to it. Great cordless pump that you can take wherever you need it and without worrying about finding an outlet to plug in a power cord, which is another big advantage obviously. I am very happy with this pump.

We seeded a lawn area this afternoon and I was excited to start using this pump to water the area. Unfortunately, it was DOA.The light on this pump works great. Other than that, I have nothing positive to report. My pump made a few gurgling sounds, drew a little water into the supply hose, and then died. I was approximately 3' above the water source so it should have worked fine, but water never even made it to the pump. I tried three Dewalt 20v batteries, which all were fully charged and verified to function just fine in other devices. I'm hopeful that I received a bad pump and that Mellif will quickly remedy the situation via a warranty replacement.I will update this review if/when Mellif responds to the email that I sent them earlier today alerting them to this situation.**UPDATE**Customer Service came through helping me reset the pump and we are now in business. It is working great thus far.

Very decent pump, nice power able to pour water a good distance. My only downside is it does not fit this generation of Dewalt, twenty volt, batteries have to use the older version .

Great pump, easy to setup and works as described.I ve been using it to drain digger holes in the yard. Reaching the bottom of the holes, the water was contaminated with sand and of course the pump case and glass cover became worn (abrasive action of the sand) very quickly and that's normal. I cannot blame the pump.The device in its whole is stil in perfect shape and even with a worn pump element (It is my fault I admit), it is still working (Lower auto prime capability, but it is still working) I should just replace the pump body, the cover glass and the impeller. Unfortunately, no way to contact the seller and no way to find any spare...I will have to replace the entire device.... Frustrating!

I've used it twice so far to transfer water for a 65 gallon water tank into my camper, and love it so far. It transferred it twice as fast as an old 12v pump I used for years, and way more convent than connecting a battery to pump motor, and it's way cheaper priced compared to the Dewalt pump I was looking at buying, hopefully it will work for years to come.

My wife and I have been full-time rv living since Dec 2023, mostly boondocking. Our most important need is water and we use this pump to transfer water from a 100 gallon pickup tank to our 5th wheel. The 5 gallon jugs we used to camp weekends weren't cutting it. I bought this pump because it's power source matches my DeWalt tools I already had. Used this thing almost daily for 11 months and it just died one day. Have no idea why. So, I bought another one, but with the 3-year replacement warranty this time. I have no regrets with this pump and can find nothing else like it taking DeWalt batteries. In the time it's taken me to write this review, it has pumped 50 gallons into my trailer.Update - Feb 2025By now, we've purchased three of these pumps. I really like these pumps, but they are mechanical devices and will ultimately fail. Nothing lasts forever. That second pump lasted a mere handful months and I contacted the seller and they immediately apologized for the pump failure and offered a replacement. Turns out a seller/manufacturer warranty of 12 months is offered. Didn't know that. Perfect resolution to my issue. Thank you LeftHandedTools!

This pump works great however get a blue RMX AG-Lite 3/4 10 ft. Rubber suction hose. WP 150 PSI ranch hose. I tried Flexzilla and it collapsed on me. Make sure you have either a PVC heavy duty hose or a heavy duty rubber hose like the one I bought. If the hose collapses it will cause the pump to shut down even though water is being moved. With my experience you have to have the right accessories for any pump to work. This is no exception. Also a Dewalt 5ah X series fits great anything bigger in diameter will not. Fit my need perfectly.

It's nice it uses the Dewalt batteries, but it will drain a 6Ah battery in about 25 min. Additionally, the pump works but it's not that strong. It's probably worth the price but don't look for this to be a powerful pump.
