Bought this case a few months ago as a back up and set it aside until my existing waterproof case from a different manufacturer wore out...that time came today as while river rafting in Northern California this weekend I noticed that water had gotten into my prior case...so pulled this new case out that I had been saving. Easy installation instructions that I followed exactly, however, after installing and testing the ringer dial above the volume buttons, the dial simply broke off! I did not force it in any way...just turned it one way to test turning off the ringer, which worked fine...then dialed it back to turn the ringer back on when it just broke off! Very disappointed as I was pretty excited since the case was of a much slimmer design than my other case, and it feels pretty darn solid in hand...but the fact that it broke during installation is a real letdown. Return/exchange policy is 30 days, but unfortunately I had this set aside for almost three months before actually using it. Major bummer! :(UPDATE: Was sent a brand new complimentary replacement case at no charge and this one works perfect. Was camping and boating in the Tahoe National Forest over the weekend and inadvertently waded to shore from the boat with my iPhone in the pocket of my cargo shorts...horrified at first, I was ecstatic to find that the case did its job and protected my phone from any water damage. Unfortunately, my wife's iPhone 6 wasn't so lucky in it's Otterbox Commuter case as it totally fried...now she's back to her old iPhone 4s until November when she's eligible for a free upgrade. As a mechanical engineer I am very technical and picky of waterproof cases but this design does not disappoint. I would go as far as to say this is better than any iPhone case I have purchased( YES BETTER THAN LIFEPROOF JUST FWI). Usually there is design flaws like a rubber button on the side where you silence your phone and it eventually falls off but they have a twist knob so that will not happen. And also there is a small kit to replace the charger hatch if it breaks (I'm a little rough and this is convenient because I've broken these before and once broken completely renders the case no longer water proof). I also have an issue when the charger port size does not fit some models of chargers and this is not the case because it fits all. Not only is it top notch engineering but the price is unbeatable. OHH! and you automatically get 1 year warranty with the purchase. You'll be seeing more people buy these and it will be because I will be spreading the word like wildfire and showcasing my phone case to people. Thank you for a great product I will be buying again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good case but doesn't fit most cables *by T***A on Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2017* I had two Lifeproof cases before this one. I had issues with their charging port door, the volume/silence button, the thumb print cover, and sound. The thumb print covers always failed and broke, the charging port seal kept coming out until I'd lose it, and in order to switch from sound to silence I used my teeth. People tended to have trouble hearing me and I couldn't hear them as clearly. I decided to try this one since it seems to address some of these issues. I am able to switch from sound to silence much more easily and the charging door doesn't have a separate seal I might lose. It passed the waterproof test after immersion in water for over an hour. I use this case since we live near water and do not plan to swim with it. Seems silly to swim with an $800 camera when I have a waterproof camera for $150 that takes better photos. Also, people are louder and no one has said that they have trouble hearing me.My biggest issue with this case is that my aftermarket charging cables don't fit (they do fit Lifeproof). They would, if the hole for the charging port were centered vertically, but it's not. I measured the apple charger and it’s .18” tall x.3” wide. The charger I had for Lifeproof measures .22” tall x.36” wide. The door for the case is approximately .44” wide x about .22” tall, but because the hole is offset and there is more space above the slot than below, you can't fit a .22" tall charger cable. I'm currently looking for a charger cable that is shorter.
