Ministry Of Sound: Old Skool Ravers / Various

Not all as I thought in real reggae , misleading but decent tracks I'm supportive of ministry of sound label

Note: this is 3 CDs not 1 CD as it says in the listing.Bought from a recent trip home to the UK.Not a bad album as it's mostly old school (not "skool") rave, but there are some odd track choices on this. My assumption whoever Sony/MoS have to compile these didn't actually grow up with or experience rave in the 90s.Notable good track choices: Baby D, Urban Hype, Urban Shakedown, Origin Unknown (although this is really DnB), FSoL, Jonny L, Acen, Kicks Like a Mule, CLS, N-Joi, Awesome 3, Liquid, SL2, Prodigy.Notable bad track choices: Byron Stingily, Alison Limerick, Gusto, Sandy B, Livin' Joy, Ultra Nate, Atlantic Ocean, Sub Sub, and possibly The Shamen and Brothers in Rhythm.Tracks/Artists this is missing: Dream Frequency, TTF, LFO, N-Trance, Oceanic, Orbital, Ratpack, Slipmatt, Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era.Don't get me wrong - some of those in my bad list aren't bad tracks - they just stand out as odd choices considering what this is a compilation of. Growing up in the UK, I can't imagine Livin' Joy being played at a Mickey Finn event...

I feel like a school kid again when I put this on in the car. I'm a tad older than school age now. In other words this is like reminiscing therapy for older people who have to go to work and build up a smile before they face the first customer of the day. And for everyone else just throw it on and have a dance around whilst vigorously pointing your fingers in the air like you just don't care.

Great, like instant flash back to early rave dayz....all I needed was my curtains and orange juice t'shirt. Some good glow sticks tunes, the big ones and a few random ones you may have forgotten. Not like most MofS albums, it's ace even the second half.

Fantastic CD with all the classics from the 90’s and early 2000’s all in one place, a great buy!

Excellent compilation CD, this was bought as a gift along with another CD and they were gratefully received, a great mix up of some old school music. Delivery was very efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Definitely lacking in the Rave department...
