Scotch® Packing Packaging Tape Clear 50mm x 66m 6 Rolls

I bought this brand because in the past I've found 3M products to be of good quality. But this tape has a very low-tac adhesive. Wouldn't stick to boxes, only itself and other shiny surfaces. It would even run off the dispenser so I had to use my thumb as a brake on the roll when I wanted to sheer off the strip at the end of a run. Thought it must be old or faulty stock so ordered the same from another supplier, same problem. Sent both lots back and ordered a cheaper brand which was much better. My faith in 3M products now a little tarnished, still wondering if it might have been a faulty manufacturing run or pirate copy.

I usually buy a cheaper product, which has worked well for me, but was out of stock & I needed some tape pronto. I ordered this, being marketed as Scotch Tape & thought it would be an adequate if more expensive option.It's a major disappointment.For a start, where each roll meets another in the packing, there is a dark mark. The adhesion is awful. Where one strip of my usual tape would suffice, I've had to use 3 of this tape.I'm not a happy bunny.

The tape seems pretty adhesive. It is very thick. The problem seems to be cutting it on the serrated edge of my tape gun, it just will not split easily. If you use a tape gun, this could be annoying. I cant see if you can sharpen a tap gun cutter. I have to really bang down hard to cut it. Or do small pieces.It is transparent, ie any bar codes will be visible.

Very good quality did not edge tear as many cheap products do causing break offs as you unroll the tape...and loosing the end !Pleased with it but the packaging was very poor since the big problem with adhesive tapes is if any edge nicks are present causing premature break off.

Scotch-Packing Tape Does the Job Effectively. The Original Tape from the inventors, packages very well and is waterproof too!

We no longer buy cheap brands. You know the ones…. they tear WAY to easily, curl up when you unwrap them, sticks to nothing except itself.We get none of those issue when we use Scotch which is why they are 100% worth that little extra in cost.

Have bought this 6 pack tape several times over the last couple of years, the only issue I have, is finding the cut end sometimes, I find the tape a little thin, (or it could be my eyes and finger nails are not quite as sharp as they once were), but it does the job, and I will continue to buy it.

Had this tape from somewhere else and when i ordered i thougjt it would be the same quality but the tape splits not very sticky i would not buy again
